We engaged Francesco to design, specify and supervise a new back addition kitchen. He listened carefully to our needs and came up with several creative alternatives for us to consider. After consultation, he amended the proposals that he specified and tendered, to a satisfactory outcome. He supervised the contractor and was always available to deal with problems that arose during the work. He was considered in his recommendations for amendments that arose along the way and brought the project to a successful conclusion. Francesco was always professional, available for help and consultation, replied promptly to queries and was patient and personable at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Francesco was an inspiration. He really helped envisage and bring to life my ideas for my new home in the Derbyshire Dales – and, of course, take them to a whole new level. The project involved remodelling of the whole ground floor of the cottage, to make best use of the space and to allow the beautiful surrounding countryside in – with the main focus being a single story extension to the rear. This extension was careful to both celebrate and embrace the natural local materials and architectural style, while balancing it with modernity and an openness which both brought views of the Dales inside, as well as much needed addition of natural light into the property. Francesco also indulged me in my passion for gardening, and designed a potting shed as part of the extension, quirky and vernacular in style to wonderfully contrast with the modernity of the main design. Francesco really helped us envisage how we could transform a dingy 1950s kitchen and the unused garden side return next to it into a bright and airy space for cooking and entertaining. Francesco didn't just focus on the kitchen but rather the way the area interacts and intersects with the rest of the house, what the feeling will be walking into it from the living room as well as walking out of it into the garden. Moreover, Francesco was friendly, professional and easily reachable - right from initial conversation on the concept through to the final drafts and the stages of contracting a builder. We'd 100% recommend his services and creative vision.

Francesco designed and project managed a loft conversion and ground floor refurbishment for us in our house in Brixton. Francesco excelled in all areas, from helping us with the concept of our renovations to guiding us through implementation. He was very patient (we took a long time from initial contact to getting going!) and was there to offer advice on any and all aspects of the practical and the aesthetic. As a working couple with two young kids and minimal time to think about anything properly we relied on him a lot and he delivered to an extremely high level. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome, and would attach pictures if we were able to keep any of the rooms tidy for more than five minutes!

Francesco was brilliant. Our project involved remodelling the back of our house and updating the kitchen and bathroom accordingly. He understood exactly what we were aiming for, and came up with plans which were even better than we hoped. We took his advice on builders, and he understood our budgetary constraints. He and the builders were great to deal with and he managed the whole project very smoothly. It finished a little later than anticipated, but that was because of the problem with supplies in the time of Covid, and both Francesco and the builders were on top of things and v responsive. We took his advice on colours and textures and are so happy with the result. Can't recommend highly enough his eye for what works. Plus, he is utterly lovely to deal with and v quick to respond to messages.

We had to renovate our kitchen and bathroom, and a friend highly recommended Francesco Pierazzi, and she was right! Francesco is extremely available and patient; during our numerous meetings he listened to what we wanted, developed a clear vision of the project and worked with us to find the best solution to our requests. During the project he was present and supportive. He has a profound understanding of materials and a strong sense of space and light. To achieve what we wanted, he came up with ideas which were creative, sensitive, practical and pleasant to the eye, yet never banal. Plus we finished within budget, which always helps! Everyone who has seen our new kitchen and bathroom is very complimentary – they can’t help but notice the quality of his work and attention to detail. During our meetings we had the opportunity to get to know Francesco beyond the architect: he is a warm, kind person and, between taking technical decisions, we enjoyed talking about exhibitions, books and food - who doesn’t like porcini mushrooms? We just can’t recommend Francesco highly enough!

Francesco was a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job on our extension and garage conversion. Every little detail was beautifully thought through, and we now have a living space which is incredibly practical (for the demands of a young family) and looks great too. Francesco made what could have been a stressful process straightforward.

Francesco was recommended by my daughter, for whom he had worked on her house in Pimlico. We needed some work done prior to putting our (period) house on the market. Having had other experiences with architects we were immediately struck how Francesco LISTENED to what we wanted and didn’t try and force any pre-conceived ideas onto us – whilst making very welcome gentle suggestions. All his ideas were spot-on and we were delighted with the result and hope to work with him on our new home. His strengths are making the most of the light coming in to house – opening and brightening every thing up. He is also a genius at making the most of the space available, making the most of what is there (which is what we wanted) rather than suggest drastic (and expensive) options. However, if a drastic overhaul is needed (as was the case with my daughter), he is also up for that! Francesco was also a delight to work with – very responsive and understanding of the brief (both practical and financial). Nothing (however trivial) was too much trouble. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Since starting working with Francesco in 2015, I have now completed several of his projects. So far I can confidently say that he is the best architect I have worked with. I very much like his designs and the way he is able to transform the spaces he works with. Francesco designed and project managed the build of a large modern extension for me. His design met the brief perfectly (lots of light, clearly defined and functional areas (kitchen, sitting areas, dining area, shower, new entrance)). He used natural materials to create a dynamic and interesting space, flooded with light. The design also matched the features of the existing property, which we upgraded and there is now a real wow factor. The work was done to a very high standard on time (completed April 2019). Francesco also advised regarding interior design. I have no hesitation in recommending him.

Honestly, if you need an architect, Francesco is the one. His approach is candid and intuitive and he has great vision. I couldn’t have been more impressed when we used his services recently for our kitchen extension and re-design project. We started with a large but awkward space and we really didn’t know how to achieve the family kitchen / dining layout we wanted within the space we had. We initially spoke to a couple of kitchen designers but no-one had the vision to see what Francesco saw, he made suggestions that we hadn’t even considered and once we spoke to him we knew immediately that we were on the right path. We are so happy with the finished project – with Francesco’s help we now have the kitchen and dining / living space we always wanted. His ideas for colour, finish and design have been perfect every time. He has the great skill of listening to what you want and making it happen, all the time keeping everything within the project balanced. He listened to our suggestions every time and came up with clear and detailed solutions that made sense and kept our kitchen functional but also aesthetically beautiful. I would highly recommend.

Francesco has redesigned my 2-bedroom Victorian flat with garden in London. I knew he is a brilliant architect, so I trusted him completely and I have no regrets. He has excellent design ideas, but also attention to practicality, which is important for those who end up living in the property. His patience and willingness to explain / talk me through the process and potential solutions has alleviated the stress when "surprises" happen (they always do with Victoria houses). His knowledge and attention to detail is second to none. Finally, he is a good laugh and has a great sense of humour, which is always helpful when dealing with this type of projects. We first used Francesco Pierazzi Architects in 2014, when he undertook the design and management of a Utility/ shower room extension. Four years down the line I am just as happy with the outcome as I was then. I therefore asked Francesco to design my kitchen and again to manage the project using the same builders. The project included two new doors and a new extractor duct to the outside. I am delighted with the result and will certainly use him again in any future projects. Francesco has a wonderful ‘eye’ and a clear vision of what can be achieved. Although he has strong opinions he listens and suggests sensible alternatives, putting forward design ideas that one could never think of oneself. He understands materials and fitments and works very well with the builders to allow their input as well. And I also agree with other reviewers, a strong sense of light. Input worth every penny!

This was our 3rd attempt with an architect and as the saying goes we were defiantly 3rd time lucky. It has been an absolute delight to work with Francesco. He has managed to remodel a difficult space with various height restrictions due to planning regulations and weave this into the design to create something spectacular. Moreover his project management has been great and has alleviated a lot of stress from the process. Project is due to complete on time too.

Francesco Pierazzi is a brilliant architect with a fantastic ability to imagine how spaces can be transformed. He entirely reimagined our large Victorian house into a modern home, keeping all its original features but maximising the light and space inside. His roof extension, terrace and balcony are amazing - everyone who walks in and sees the views that he uncovered is stunned. He is also a lovely man to work with; despite a bankrupt contractor we are still great friends and he stood by us every step of the way, even coming around IKEA to choose the kitchen carcasses and spending a Saturday morning in Heals selecting a sofa. Francesco has worked with us to create a kitchen/diner addition. I had very few fixed notions of what I wanted at the beginning, which meant that Francesco had to tease out the requirements, aspiration & personal preferences from discussions & observations during the time that he invested in getting to know myself, my family & our somewhat unique circumstances. One of the most enduring requirements that I had was that the building should reflect & sit comfortably within the outdoor environment which we are passionate about & that it’s structure should not detract from the view of the garden available from the existing doors & windows. The design was inspired, with its angled roofs & the use of ceiling timbers; that not only protected the view of the garden, but also enhanced it – drawing your eye towards the garden & creating walls of glass which in effect form living interactive wallpaper. Working to create a modern extension to an Edwardian house on the edge of a conservation area, Francesco’s knowledge of the local planning department’s objectives & his experience of working with them made a great difference to the speed & associated cost of the planning application. Francesco undertook all communication with the planning department, simplifying the process & ensuring that the outcome was an extension to our home which improved the functionality of the building & the way that we live in it & that simply makes us very happy. Francesco’s passion for the project, attention to detail, selection of materials & finish made all of the difference to the outcome of his projects. But, where he truly excels, is how he works with natural light & shadows to create an atmosphere which lifts your spirits & soothes your soul.

We worked with Francesco Pierazzi Architects last year when we completely refurbished our loft bedroom and built an en-suite bathroom. Francesco beautifully redesigned the space and ran the whole project. The loft space (as in most Victorian houses) was awkward and it was only because of Francesco’s imaginative design and experience that we could get a fully functioning and visually striking bathroom without taking anything away from the bedroom size and airy feeling. Francesco took care of everything, he sorted out the council permission, came up with several design solutions, he selected marvellous materials for us and ran a tender, eventually supervising the whole building process with the amazing builder Andrea and his team meanwhile we were on holiday!! We could not be more pleased with his professional advices, precision and clean design. Francesco has a great eye for light and he is very knowledgeable on materials, plus very budget conscious. We are really delighted with the results and could not recommend him more!

Francesco is a rock solid and imaginative design-led architect. We had used 2 other architects for our double fronted house renovation before and were happy with the designs but for one reason or another (budget mainly) we never got them off the ground. Francesco and Alberto's design is fabulous. Just what we wanted and more. He really also tries to listen to your ideas and take them on board. We haven't finished the build stage yet but hoping this all goes smoothly too with the FPA team input! I would thoroughly recommend him.

I met Francesco a few weeks ago and was very impressed by his creative ideas for major changes to the ground and first floor of my terraced house in Islington. Prior to contacting him, I had discussed the project with other architects but none of them had Francesco's flair for design or his ability to enthuse me with his restructuring and refurbishment proposals For personal reasons, I have had to delay the start of the project but I certainly have every intention of making use of Francesco's skills at the earliest possible date.

I worked with Francesco Pierazzi Architects in 2011 when I was looking to modernise my tired Vicotian flat into a minimalist contemporary space. The objective was to create a space that is sociable & open and cosy at the same time with a relatively modest budget. Francesco, in my humble opinion, excelled in the task by designing the space and advising on various cost conscious options. Francesco ran the whole process for me and I'm very thankful for his effort and support. His effort made the job less taxing and time-consuming. Francesco came up with a few ideas & a plan, ran a tender for me and helped me choose builders and things that can be scraped to meet the budget. Additionally Francesco supervised the builders, advised me on materials and sorted out unavoidable wrinkles between builders and clients. We opened up the kitchen to the living room, completely re-did the bathroom and 2 bedrooms, changed flooring etc. So whilst modest the job was quite complicated at the same time. I believe Francesco is a very design-conscious but at the same time practical architect which appealed to me as that was exactly what I was looking for. I can totally vouch for Francesco's style, work ethics and his very pleasant personality. Highly recommended.

I own a property that was built in the 1950s and needed to be completely renovated as my family had grown. And I decided that I wanted an architect to help me with the design, mindful of a tight programme and a limited budget. I selected Francesco Pierazzi who had already designed my sister’s apartment in my hometown of San Giovanni Valdarno. And it became immediately apparent that I had selected the right professional. I wanted my project to be unique, with a generous open space to entertain guests and that could be made more private if we needed. Francesco suggested to use large sliding doors that could retract behind false walls. All the spaces work really well with a lot of integrated bespoke furniture. Francesco recommended to lower the original ceiling to reduce the heating bills and used the void to incorporate the air conditioning and to hide the ceiling lights. Francesco has refurbished the spaces by creating a dialogue between solid and hollow elements and lights and shadows. And we love that. Francesco has been very skillful to manipulate the existing structure and give the new apartment a character. It is truly fantastic to live and work here!

This wasn't an easy job: Grade II in RBKC is always challenging. Francesco's relationship with the planners was outstanding and allowed us to achieve a result way beyond our expectations prior to meeting him. He is great fun and he has a great eye for design. He is particularly strong on sourcing materials etc.. However, his rapport with the planners was certainly his strongest suit. We would certainly use him again.

We had a loft space in a four-storey victorian terrace which needed to be converted into one large living space. Francesco guided us through the process, he very quickly created a solution which was not only maximised the storage space, but created a modern, contemporary living space. I met Francesco last year when my wife decided to refurbish her old family apartment where we were to move. It was a beautiful and large apartment but did not meet our requirements. Francesco completely redesigned the interior of a dilapidated flat in a West London mansion block turning it into a very stylish modern apartment. The property had to be completely gutted and fitted out with a new bathroom, kitchen, heating system, lighting etc. Francesco selected all the fittings and suggested suppliers that could offer keen prices and this saved us much time and effort. He also introduced a very reliable builder who carried out the work to an excellent standard under Francesco's supervision. The property was then able to be let out very quickly to good quality tenants.

Francesco Pierazzi came with high recommendations and meeting him twice for initial consultation regarding a loft extension and flat remodelling proved them right. He was efficient and friendly, and if at first he didn't say much, it soon became clear that this was because he was listening to what I, as the client wanted from the project, needed from the potential future living arrangements and feared of the daunting prospect of tearing down my flat.
