Rare Office designed my rooftop apartment in Münich. I loved their design approach. It was a very detailed and thought process. The whole design is thought outside the box. When we started the work, they presented us different options - all very interesting and both nice and functional. To see the actual potential of our rooftop surpised us. Once chosen pur preferred option, we went through building permissions and construction site. Everything was well thought and properly executed. In general I would strongly recommend them.

Rare Office renovated our loft apartment in Berlin. Set in an ex industrial building in Kreuzberg (near Mariannenplatz) the loft needed a deep and structural intervention. Through a very smart use of sub spaces and box-shaped spaces, the once-empty 140sqm flat took shape in a very sophisticated and interesting way. Every corner of the floor plan is been thought and nicely executed. Communication was excellent. Any time we had a question or a request, their team was always there to support us. Due to the old structure of the building we also had tough times that they brilliantly solved. I am very happy we asked them to take care of our apartment that is now at the same time a cool designed and a very cozy and warm place to live in.

We used RARE office to renovate our 56m2 rooftop apartment in Berlin. Prior to the renovation, the apartment was an roof conversion from the early 1990's, done without care or thought. As a result, the layout was inefficient, with so much wasted space including a long snaking hallway and an excessively big bathroom, rendering the remaining living spaces small and somewhat useless. The apartment was also poorly planned around several supporting pillars, adding to the awkwardness and challenges of the space. From the moment we contacted RARE office, the team was enthusiastic and supportive. They understood all our needs and offered advice and suggestions on how best to meet them. We were initially shown 4 new potential layouts for the apartment, all of which were fantastic. We were blown away by the potential of our apartment. Upon further consultation we settled on a variation of one of those, which enabled us to get the best and most efficient use of the awkward shape of the apartment. We were so happy with the creative space solutions - a complicated puzzle were everything fit snuggly into place. To look at the apartment now, you would not know of the difficulties and challenges that were faced. The space is now so simple and elegant, so clean and open yet with efficient use of the small space. It is truly a smart apartment, well thought out, with every detail taken into consideration. Due to circumstances beyond the control of the team, the renovation itself was a very difficult process, but they were there with us every step of the way, offering advice and support to get through the tough times. We felt supported constantly. They went above and beyond and as a result, the apartment is beautiful.

RARE Office restored my apartment in Berlin, Charlottenburg in the beginning of 2015. The apartment is at the 4th floor and I had the opportunity to serve it with an existing elevator. However, the elevator door gave directly in the bathroom. They proposed a very nice new cut of the apartment, which not only allowed me to use the elevator from the new planned living area, but also optimized the natural lighting of the rooms and made the apt very contemporary and comfortable at the same time. They studied every single detail so that we stayed in the budget I proposed. Thanks.

We bought an apartment in Berlin in 2014 and we got in contact with RARE Office via our lawyer. The apartment is on the ground floor and needed to be restored. They proposed us to mirror the organization of the rooms, which was a perfect idea in order to use the garden directly from the living area. They have a very nice taste regarding materials, colors and functionality. We are glad to have met them, enjoyable people.

I contacted RARE Office in order to restore my apartment in Berlin. I bought it because of the central location but It didn't really fit my actual needs. They proposed me 3 different layouts and I liked all of them, I didn't really know which one to choose at the beginning. Finally they helped me to find the right one for my life style and now I really enjoy it ! Very nice taste, contemporary and warm. I also like their approach to materials recycling. Absolutely recommended !

I contracted RARE Office for the refurbishment of 3 apartment units I own in Berlin. All the properties needed extensive structural and decoration works, including rewiring, layout rearrangement, built-in furniture, kitchen and bathroom renovation. Of this small and highly competent architecture firm, not only have I appreciated the technical skills and the effective way of working, but also the taste for esthetics and the continuous search for solutions at the frontier of current architecture practice. As a side, but still a significantly, the 2 partners are enjoyable and easily going people. Highly recommended!
