What colour for my porch

currently renovating a Georgian property. The porch has been rebuilt and had a white undercoat. The windows will all be white, just think the porch looks too stark in white as well. Have to keep the door in oak ( yet to be sanded back) does anybody have any suggestions for the porch colour? Thinking along the lines of grey, but worried this might clash with the brick colour. Thanks in advance for your help.

vor 7 JahrenWhat a stunning facade! Your house is wonderful. Would you consider a Green to tie in with the surrounding gardens? Alternatively a soft taupe? Both would look great with the oak door, and brick.

Colour to acccompany stone wall
Kommentare (3)I agree with the cooler colours suggested above. Your stone wall has plenty of soft, powder pinks and yellows and therefore appears very lively. The biggest mistake people make is to match the beautiful colours of stone with wall paint of equal liveliness which leads to a rivalry between colour and stone. A much subtler approach is needed. Check the stone for it least visible colours create a complimentary colour match. There might be hidden very subtle, sand greys and soft pebble colours which then will let your wall shine in the way you have envisaged it....mehrWhat colour/fabric for soft furnishings
Kommentare (19)Hi Ella, first of all, let me say that you have some really nice vintage pieces in your home! If you are planning to keep the light grey rug I would go with a darker shade of grey for the daybed and a lighter shade or a completely different color for the fabric of the sidechair (e.g. like the dark blue in your third photo) in order to create more contrast and give the room a more dynamic feel. You also mentioned a portrait to be hung above the sideboard - maybe the colors of this picture can aslo inspire the fabrics, it's always nice if the same color pops up in different details of a room. Kommentare (5)I´ve read that article as well and think your statement is absolutely right: the meaning - or maybe better - the worth of correct lighting seems to be underestimatet. Clients often rather invest in design of a certain lamp than in quality of light. Another interesting fact you mentioned is the choice of surface in accordance to LED-lighting to minimize reflections. - Easy to understand but seemingly often forgotten. When we built our new home, my wish was a complete, in parts dimmable LED lighting system, that we realized in collaboration with a lighting designer. - So some of your aspects were already base of our working together. And although it looks rather technically (what I love indeed) it´s able to create both: warm light in the evening whilst sittig together with friends and family and a clear bright light for (e.g.) working or cooking. But apart of my own "homemade" experiences, I think it is a stunning service you offer clients by visiting all these projects at the fair and assess them under the specific criteria of correct lighting. Kommentare (4)In my opinion your work looks amazing! I love the colors. With the boxex there is enough storage room. Eventough it is full of colors, it still has something professional and serious about it. In other words great space where one can work. When it comes to me I like it simple. The right tolls make it easy to stay focused and connected. One needs to make sure that they have the technology they require and Internet service that meets their needs. I find working space mixed with nature very endearing. I Love woods. Wood is great to work with . For me Workspace needs to be simple. Even tough i love the colors you used I simply go with some light brown table https://www.lionshome.at/moebel-gartentische/teak/ and a simple chair. The reason behind this is that this way a person doesn't have to spend unnecessairy time in their working area. After the work is done they can go to their living room chill and relax.
