UserThis lovely Regency building is in a magnificent setting with fabulous sea views. The Regents were influenced by Classical Greece as well as cultures from further afield including China, India and Egypt. Our brief was to preserve and cherish the original elements of the building, while making a feature of our client’s impressive art collection. Where items are fixed (such as the kitchen and bathrooms) we used traditional styles that are sympathetic to the Regency era. Where items are freestanding or easy to move, then we used contemporary furniture & fittings that complemented the artwork. The colours from the artwork inspired us to create a flow from one room to the next and each room was carefully considered for its’ use and it’s aspect. We commissioned some incredibly talented artisans to create bespoke mosaics, furniture and ceramic features which all made an amazing contribution to the building’s narrative.

Amber Freda Garden DesignWe love the night and day transformation this garden took on when our client requested a zen garden for her backyard in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. It’s always fun to be asked to design a garden with so many charming creative elements. Our re-design included brown bamboo fencing to cover a very bright white vinyl fence, a fountain, loose grey stones, dark brown deck tiles, contemporary furnishings, a stone Japanese lantern statue, and white fiberglass planters. The plantings include cherry laurels, bamboo, a red weeping maple, moss, grasses, and variegated euonymus. Overhead globe lights add a cheerful nighttime touch. Pacific Garden DesignTucked away in a small subdivision, these homeowners have taken their builder-grade backyard and transformed it into a Japanese-inspired oasis. After the initial landscape design and construction by Pacific Garden Design, the homeowners have continued to craft an elegantly evolving landscape. A multi-level deck provides entertaining space as it steps down to the yard. A dry water feature anchors the corner of the yard, while a series of stone benches provide spots for quiet contemplation. The thriving garden area takes advantage of the southern exposure along one side of the yard and offers an opportunity for garden whimsy. Gravel pathways connect the space to the front yard and the natural area behind the property.
