Water emerges from a bubbler fountain, spilling over the edge and through the holes of a one-of-a-kind naturally formed stone imported from the island of Java.

Garden art provides year round color. Red and lime are repeated throughout the landscape in plants, pots, and fabrics. The metal art piece was from Home and Garden Art, Seattle. The maple tree is in a large pot and clematis covering the trellis varies the heights in the space.

Even in winter this garden is alive with texture. Structure is provided by the timber walls, metal arbor, shrubby perennials like lavender and Russian Sage, the dormant blades of the Idaho fescue lawn, and the red bark of Betula Occidentalis, Western Red Birch.

New exposed aggregate driveway & front garden path. Off that leads a dry riverbed stone path that winds into the native garden with Grevillea, Kangaroo Paw, Lomandra grasses. New paling fence (yet to be painted) at the rear to add privacy and create a backdrop against unsightly areas. Tan mulch for weed control and water retention. Garden design & construction by Boodle Concepts.
SPRINTER® boxwood is an improved, fast-growing variety that finishes twice as fast as others. It has glossy foliage that is attractive year round, and is excellent for hedging.
Common yarrow makes a delightful and water wise lawn alternative. When mowed, it forms a plush, feathery lawn. When left to grow, blooms in a variety of shades ranging from white to bright yellows and reds.

Cool in the summer, warm in the winter - spacious year-round for grilling, dining and entertaining. The new planting beds and privacy fence disguise a narrowly sloped back yard and expand entertaining options in all four seasons.
A perfect area for outdoor entertaining. The large fire pit
with ample built in seating provides a perfect space to enjoy the outdoors.

From all turf to all textures! Say good bye to mono-cultures like lawns, and open-up to a broader landscape palette. The young ground covers and shrubs will spread and blossom, adding food diversity for the local pollinators. More then grass ever could!
