The Yard StylistThis was a complete package installation for Velvendo Meritage Homes in Arizona. The installation was comprised of an outdoor kitchen, pavers, artificial grass, and landscape rock. This installation provides a beautiful fusion of earth colors combined with the green from the artificial grass. The two-tone pavers are bold and distinct enough to make them stand out from the decorative gravel.
BE Landscape DesignThis growing family needed to maximize their outdoor space. BE Landscape Design, elevated the Master BR deck, and fire-pit, designed a multi level BBQ for easy access to both lounge and dining areas. The retaining wall was removed and replaced with a nook for a built in dining bench. The large retaining wall was painted graphite grey, and faced with sturdy 'stallion wire' to support scented and flowering vines. The hillside was planted with native and shade tolerant plants.

Dorthy Pautz Landscape Architectthis small city back yard is designed for the adults to relax on the elevated bluestone terrace at the firepit and watch the kids play on the lawn. The yard used to be steeply sloped, so I created terracing to make the yard more usable. The yard highlights the existing antique San Francisco cobblestone wall that bounds the back of the yard. Wisteria is trained on the wood fence, and Green Tower Boxwoods on both sides of the yard create a framework. The edges are kept narrow and simple, to maximize the turf area and be tough enough to withstand the occasional soccer ball. The Fire pit is built around a ready-made contractor's kit from American Fyre Designs, to which I added reclaimed San Francisco Cobble around the outside. The Fire pit is bisected by the low retaining wall, and is low foot/table height on the patio side and a taller feature element on the lawn side which has a narrative with the old existing stone wall at the back.
The Yard StylistThis was a complete installation package for homeowners in Riggs Ranch Meadows, Chandler, AZ. We added an outdoor kitchen with a fire pit, patio paving, and decked seating area around the fire pit. Every color option chosen perfectly compliments each other. Both the kitchen island support and the seating area match the decorative gravel which runs alongside the pool. The subtle tones of the pavers also help to distinguish and highlight the outdoor kitchen and deck area. The pavers are also different enough to stand out on their own.

The Yard StylistThis installation at Cadence at Gateway, AZ, showcases three installations, outdoor kitchen, artificial grass, and landscape lighting. Each installation compliments the other to create a completely functional and beautiful design. The owners have chosen a kitchen island design in pale grays and whites, which compliments the house's exterior. The area of artificial grass provides a space for guests to congregate after a meal. The landscape lighting has been installed to highlight both the plants and the trellis. It is very subtle but will provide a soft, illuminated effect to both the kitchen and the artificial grass.
