This custom outdoor living space is built using TImberTech Teak decking and white radiance rail. The space showcases a custom built in grill and bar area with a vinyl pergola above. The project also features an octagon with wrap around steps in a lower level. The space has an extensive lighting package that includes deck lights, riser lights and, lantern lights. Cape Associates, Inc. completed this backyard bliss by covering an attached pergola with a 12’ x 16’ retractable shade. Rope driven, the homeowners can extend the Sunbrella Taupe fabric without knocking fresh lobster rolls off the table.

We also installed a beautiful white vinyl pergola from the same company that made their railing, Mt. Hope Fence. To maximize the amount of shade they could expect from the pergola, we adjusted the lathing across the top of the pergola to a 30-degree angle. The angle of the lathing and the pergola’s orientation to the sun’s path affect the amount of shade a pergola will provide.
