The expansive outdoor deck and pergola overlook a gorgeous wooded property making this a serene and relaxing place to land at the end of the day.Tom Grimes Photography

This large deck was built in Holmdel, NJ. The flooring is Ipe hardwood. The rail is Azek brand synthetic railing system. The pergola is clear cedar that has been primed and painted. The columns are 10" square Permacast brand. The high underside of the deck is covered with solid Ipe skirting. This blocks the view of the deck under-structure from people enjoying the lower paver patio. Low voltage lights were added to the rail posts, in the pergola and in the stair risers. These lights add a nice ambiance to the deck, as well as safety.

This space was created to allow the home owners and their kids to enjoy the outdoors more. We created 3 unique spaces on separate elevations which features an Outdoor grill area, dining area, hot tub area with built in benches, and a paving slab patio. A permanent gas line and electrical outlets were also installed.

We built this new deck in Hilliard, OH, with low-maintenance composite decking from the TimberTech PRO Tropical collection in the beautiful Amazon Mist color. For their new railing system, the homeowners selected white vinyl railings and black aluminum pickets from the Ohio-based Mt. Hope Fence brand. For a cohesive design, they chose a TimberTech rail cap to match the decking. Not only is their new deck surface made with low-maintenance materials, so are the railings.
