This new home is the last newly constructed home within the historic Country Club neighborhood of Edina. Nestled within a charming street boasting Mediterranean and cottage styles, the client sought a synthesis of the two that would integrate within the traditional streetscape yet reflect modern day living standards and lifestyle. The footprint may be small, but the classic home features an open floor plan, gourmet kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, and refined finishes throughout.

The clean lines and crispness of the interior staircase is highlighted by its modern glass railing and beautiful wood steps. This element fits perfectly into the project as both circulation and focal point within the residence.

Properly spaced round-metal balusters and simple/elegant white square newels make a dramatic impact in this four-level home. Stain selected for oak treads and handrails match perfectly the gorgeous hardwood floors and complement the white wainscoting throughout the house. For this classic San Francisco William Wurster house, we complemented the iconic modernist architecture, urban landscape, and Bay views with contemporary silhouettes and a neutral color palette. We subtly incorporated the wife's love of all things equine and the husband's passion for sports into the interiors. The family enjoys entertaining, and the multi-level home features a gourmet kitchen, wine room, and ample areas for dining and relaxing. An elevator conveniently climbs to the top floor where a serene master suite awaits.
