For this designer garden office, our client wanted to take full advantage of the space he had. Not only can you fit a large desk area, but a sofa and a fireplace which add a homely and cosy feel to this office space. The interior also includes small doors which inside have generous shelving space for documents and various office items. The exterior features a timber cladding ceiling with an extended roof overhang and a redwood decking area, adding a unique elongated appearance to this garden office.

As part of a larger project, my clients wanted to add a gym to their garden. Initially, we considered remodeling an existing outbuilding, but its location made the garden impractical. Despite several design iterations, their feedback consistently favored relocating the gym to the far end of the garden, leading us to design a new structure from scratch. The new building followed permit guidelines while drawing inspiration from the recently extended house. Sharp angles, tilted façades, and zinc accents created a cohesive architectural language. Clad in corrugated metal, the gym’s industrial style complemented the house’s materials, ensuring a unified aesthetic.

This is a custom bike builder / micro brewer's Shed and favorite place to be when not adventuring outdoors. The cabinets had to house certain sizes of brewing containers and equipment, a refrigerator, and a bar to relax and enjoy the brew with family and friends. Equally important is the Zwift set up with a bike and computer.
