Lucie RoulandCette maison islaise est construite en ossature bois. L’orientation de la parcelle a guidé le plan de la maison. De larges baies au sud s’ouvrent sur la terrasse et le jardin. Une ambiance harmonieuse règne à l’intérieur de la maison de par les couleurs et les matériaux utilisés. Dans la cuisine kaki un sol en tomette carrée est contrasté par un plan de travail en bois foncé.
Le salon prend vie autour d’un meuble sur mesure en bois multifonction intégrant banquette, rangement, verrière, poêle, télé, bibliothèque. Un tout en un.

White Sands Coastal DevelopmentWe remodeled this 5,400-square foot, 3-story home on ’s Second Street to give it a more current feel, with cleaner lines and textures. The result is more and less Old World Europe, which is exactly what we were going for. We worked with much of the client’s existing furniture, which has a southern flavor, compliments of its former South Carolina home. This was an additional challenge, because we had to integrate a variety of influences in an intentional and cohesive way.
We painted nearly every surface white in the 5-bed, 6-bath home, and added light-colored window treatments, which brightened and opened the space. Additionally, we replaced all the light fixtures for a more integrated aesthetic. Well-selected accessories help pull the space together, infusing a consistent sense of peace and comfort.

Sundberg Kennedy Ly-Au Young Architects18” adobe bricks serve as structure and interior/ exterior finish. The client requested that this ancient building material be updated to a modern aesthetic, so we designed using tall, narrow openings with steel lintels and left the natural, coarse texture. Antiques and art from the area (both old and new) are showcased throughout the property. Art niches made of steel are integrated into the adobe walls.

Maraya Interior DesignA Tuscan style villa on East Valley Road with a carved limestone fireplace, burgandy, copper and blue rugs shares a feeling of warmth and comfort. Old Antique furniture, along with new fine bench made old world furniture, soft comfortable upholstered chairs complete this very inviting home in Santa Barbara that feels like the old Italian Countryside. In a dining area with a groin vault for the ceiling, the walls are copper colored venetian plaster. A separate library for the book loving clients, in blues and reds. The living great room area features open hand scraped beams, the floors have imestone laid in a Versaille pattern. Project Location: Montecito, Santa Barbara, CA. Designed by Maraya Interior Design. From their beautiful resort town of Ojai, they serve clients in Montecito, Hope Ranch, Malibu, Westlake and Calabasas, across the tri-county areas of Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles, south to Hidden Hills- north through Solvang and more.
