This home is located in an area with a number of midcentury homes. Although the home had drifted over time, the owners were bringing it back to its roots and needed more space for entertaining. The basement had never been finished so we started with a raw space with a very obtrusive bearing wall cutting the livable space into two narrow halves. From the start the clients wanted a warm mid-century feel which will be enhanced by their collections of antiques.

A spacious, open-concept finished basement featuring bold golden-orange walls, a dramatic painted-black exposed ceiling, and durable slate-look vinyl flooring that defines the entire lower-level living space. Architectural details like the arched alcove, built-in bar area, and layered lighting give the room character while keeping it flexible for entertainment, recreation, or future customization.

A vibrant and spacious finished basement designed for entertainment and relaxation. Warm golden-orange walls create a lively atmosphere, while the dark exposed-beam ceiling adds a stylish industrial edge. The open layout features multiple zones—a pool table area, a lounge with TV, and a bar nook with stone accents—making it perfect for hosting gatherings. Durable slate-look vinyl flooring grounds the space with texture and warmth, complementing the modern lighting and comfortable furnishings.
