The front porch is clad in travertine from the LBJ Library remodel at UT. Douglas fir columns and beam with custom steel brackets support painted double rafters and a light blue painted tongue-and-groove wood porch roof.
Exterior paint color: "Ocean Floor," Benjamin Moore.

Different sized glass blocks were placed inside this decorative wood railing to get colored light to pour out onto the front porch - providing a distinctive touch to this front entrance.

We transformed this home’s exterior with a stunning front porch addition.
We demolished the old concrete steps and footings, laying the groundwork for a new structure.
The new porch, built with pressure-treated lumber and durable composite materials, includes a stylish overhang with a barrel-cove ceiling and supporting columns.
A white Westbury guardrail system adds elegance and safety.
We replaced the hexagonal bathroom window and upgraded the front entry with a new fiberglass and full-view storm door.
The finished porch, complete with an overhead light, enhances the home’s curb appeal and adds a welcoming, functional space for the homeowners to enjoy.

Here is another deck project we completed for a homeowner in Austin, TX. This is a great example of just how versatile a material wood is. The previous project showcased wooden decking as part of a front yard landscaping contract. The wood on that job was a darker timber; here, we have a lighter would which gives the decking a natural look of its own. The light stain complements the house’s stone walls. We used wire mesh and corrugated metal to finish off this project, which help to conjure up the image of a ranch or a property in the wild west days.

Open deck replaced with a 14' X 29' beautiful screened in, year round functional, porch. EZE Breeze window system installed, allowing for protection or air flow, depending on the weather. Coretec luxury vinyl flooring was chosen in the versatile shade of Manilla Oak. An additional 10' X 16' outside area deck was built for grilling and further seating.

The existing split foyer had vinyl siding and a tremendous amount of horizontal lines - a new flagstone walk way and steps were being added with a complete exterior makeover in the beginning stages... After meeting with the client and the landscaper - we realized we needed to develop a covered entry that would really invite you into the home and unify the all work that had been started. The new stone entrance helped you locate the front door but, the exterior finishes did not mesh well; they needed updated. The focal point should be the entry. The split foyer entrance and all the gables definitely created a challenge. The solution: We incorporated exposed cedar beams and exposed cedar roof rafters with a mahogany tongue and groove ceiling to give the entry a warm and different feel. A flag stone walk way anchors the entrance, so we chose to use stone piers to match and large square tapered columns that would support the new entry roof, the covered entry takes shape. Many details are needed to create a proper entry, copper half round gutters with square link copper rain chains are the finishing touches to the grand entry for this home. The exterior siding was changed to a wide exposure cement board siding by the James Hardie company. We used cement shake panels to accent the built out gable areas. The transitions between the siding materials were simplified to achieve a cleaner finished look. New window and door trim, 5/4 x 4 and 5/4 x 6 pvc, complete an almost maintenance free exterior.
