Your view from this lovely brick patio. Used brick from Philadelphia was purchased to give this patio a rustic feel and to match some exterior brick on the home. The small brick fireplace provides warmth and ambiance during the cooler nights in Spring and Fall.

This Sarasota West of Trail coastal-inspired residence in Granada Park sold to a couple that were downsizing from a waterfront home on Siesta Key. Granada Park is located in the Granada neighborhood of Sarasota, with freestanding residences built in a townhome style, just down the street from the Field Club, of which they are members.
The Buttonwood, like all the homes in the gated enclave of Granada Park, offer the leisure of a maintenance-free lifestyle. The Buttonwood has an expansive 3,342 sq. ft. and one of the highest walkability scores of any gated community in Sarasota. Walk/bike to nearby shopping and dining, or just a quick drive to Siesta Key Beach or downtown Sarasota. Custom-built by MGB Fine Custom Homes, this home blends traditional Florida architecture with the latest building innovations. High ceilings, wood floors, solid-core doors, solid-wood cabinetry, LED lighting, gourmet kitchen, wide hallways, large bedrooms and sumptuous baths clearly show a respect for quality construction meant to stand the test of time. Green certification by the Florida Green Building Coalition and an Emerald Certification (the highest rating given) by the National Green Building Standard ensure energy efficiency, healthy indoor air, enhanced comfort and reduced utility costs. Smart phone home connectivity provides controls for lighting, data communication, security and sound system. Gatherings large and small are pure pleasure in the outdoor great room on the second floor with grilling kitchen, fireplace and media connections for wall-mounted TV. Downstairs, the open living area combines the kitchen, dining room and great room. The private master retreat has two walk-in closets and en-suite bath with dual vanity and oversize curbless shower. Three additional bedrooms are on the second floor with en-suite baths, along with a library and morning bar. Other features include standing-height conditioned storage room in attic; impact-resistant, EnergyStar windows and doors; and the floor plan is elevator-ready.

The rear of this space brings more of a natural, rustic element. It shows the rear of the over sized double sided fireplace, irregular flagstone patio, pond less water feature, and lush plantings.

Our client came to us with the objective of building an outdoor living space for his family to always come back to instead of going on separate vacations. They needed a space that felt like a retreat from the world. A space for relaxing and spending quality family time together without the day-to-day distractions.
Our team provided a rustic, industrial looking outdoor entertaining area with sports watching as the main goal to provide years of family fun through the seasons!
Our biggest challenge on this project was to design and build a beautiful, custom triangular floor to ceiling outdoor fireplace that was the centerpiece of this project.
The entire project included building a porch roof over a flagstone patio. All surfaces were clad in cedar with built in bluetooth speakers, ceiling fan, recessed lighting, and a gas heater. We also built an outdoor kitchen with bar height table top and gas grill. The floor to ceiling stone fireplace in the corner of the patio included a custom mantle and mounted TV.

Epic Outdoor KitchenThis is one of our most favorite residential projects! There's not much the client didn't think of when designing this incredible outdoor kitchen, just looking at that brick oven pizza has our mouths watering! Complete with cozy vibes, this outdoor space was craftily mastered with: excavation, grading, drainage, gas line, electrical, low voltage lighting, electric heaters, ceiling fan, concrete footings, concrete flatwork, concrete countertops, stucco, sink, faucet, plumbing, pergola, custom metal brackets, stone veneer, fireplace, pizza oven, porcelain plank pavers, cabinets, gas bbq grill, green egg, gas stovetop, bar, chimney, and a television

In an effort to stay true to her historic Westport, Connecticut home's roots during it's renovation, actress, entrepreneur and lifestyle blogger Eva Amurri committed to working with local brands with a passion for what is so special about the unique history and landscape of the northeast.
Swenson Granite Works’ Newtown, Connecticut store supplied Amurri with WOODBURY GRAY® granite products from their New England-based quarries for the outdoor projects, and Warren Cartmel of Natural Designs, LLC did the installations.
Pictured here in this patio area are gray granite bush hammered pattern pavers, native fieldstone walls, Woodbury Gray granite pavers and hearth.
