Arbordale LandscapingOur client wanted to add a hot tub and new cabana to their poolscape. The cabana was designed with a bar in the front and pool equipment and storage in the back. The bar has a roll up door for winterising. A lounge area in front allows the home owners to enjoy a drink while watching the kids play in the pool. Flagstone patios, steps, and hot tub surround give this backyard a luxurious feel. The fence is built from custom milled Cedar horizontal boards. The fence is backed with black painted plywood for full privacy. A custom hot tub pit was built in order to use what is normally an above ground hot tub. The hot tub was supplied by Bonavista Pools. Composite lumber was used to build an access hatch for hot tub controls. Boxwood hedging frame the garden spaces. There are two Hydrangea Standard trees which are underplanted with begonias for a pop of colour. The existing Cedar hedge created a great backdrop and contrast for our Japanese Maple hedge. The existing Beech tree was stunning! Lawn area was necessary for the family pets.

Platinum PoolcareThis project feaures a 18’0” x 35’0”, 4’0” to 5’0” deep swimming pool and a 7’0” x 9’0” hot tub. Both the pool and hot tub feature color-changing LED lights. The pool also features a set of full-end steps. Both the pool and hot tub coping are Valders Wisconsin Limestone. Both the pool and the hot tub are outfitted with automatic pool safety covers with custom stone lid systems. The pool and hot tub finish is Wet Edge Primera Stone Midnight Breeze.. The pool deck is mortar set Valders Wisconsin Limestone, and the pool deck retaining wall is a stone veneer with Valders Wisconsin coping. The masonry planters are also veneered in stone with Valders Wisconsin Limestone caps. Pure DesignChallenge: Make a tilted, trapezoidal backyard work
Solved: No easy challenge, this property perches atop an 18-foot (yes foot) retaining wall with a grade falling away at 18” of slope per 12’. The tilted landscape seemed hell-bent on flooding the back yard. So… engineering challenge accepted! From the iridescent glass tile and volcanic basalt stone verticals of the spa, negative edge wall, and coping—to the smart-phone-controlled LED lighting and bespoke, California-crafted fire pit—we think we met the challenge! Beautifully, in fact. What a magical setting this family now enjoys.

This oakbrook plunge pool doubles as a hydrotherapy pool. The vessel measures 12'0" x 15'0" and has 2 LED colored lights. There is an automatic pool cover with stone lid system. There is also a 15'0" underwater bench. The raised water feature has three scuppers spilling into the pool. The Limestone coping and capstone has a sealed, modified edge.
