At the office, Mary helped us in choosing colors for paint and carpet, along with space dividers, etc. Wonderful result which everyone enjoys! At home, she has been instrumental in a redesign of our master bath which turned out terrific! Most recently we were lost in the possibilities of what colors to use in repainting our home. After hours of indecision, Mary came over and pointed us in a new color direction that we LOVE! We are constantly complimented on the new color of our home. Terrific, patient, listens well, and then produces great designs, along with wonderful color choices.

Mary helped me with my primary en suite remodel several years ago. We had a plumbing incident which flooded the primary bathroom and our pantry downstairs. Mary came to our rescue! She was able to find a new tile source because our original tile company was out of business. She not only has an excellent design eye, but connections within the design industry to source the best products for our project. I have collaborated with hundreds of designers over the years as a closet designer. Mary stands out as a designer as she has a beautifully cultivated design sense, excellent communication with her clients and vendors, and great project management skills to keep your project on time and in budget. Mary and her team at A Little Accent worked with me to select paint colors for a project entailing 1 remodeled home and 2 new spec homes in Edmonds Wa. We've worked with Mary multiple times, with our latest project being the most extensive. We worked with a contractor to gut our master bathroom as well as redo the closet (added a closet system) and complete finish work in the bedroom. Mary helped us with the initial layout/design in the bathroom and was responsible in helping us pick all the finishes. We are thrilled with how everything turned out, and love the calm oasis that she helped us to create. One thing worth mentioning is that Mary went above and beyond the design of the project by also helping to guide us through the pitfalls of working with a contractor. Anytime you are remodelling an existing structure you are bound to run into some issues that need tweaking. We had a few issues come up that needed troubleshooting, which in all honesty our contractor failed us. Mary came to the rescue by coming up with solutions and resources to deal with these problems, which greatly improved the aesthetic of the project. Had I not had her help at the end we would not have been nearly as happy with the outcome and the project would have gone on longer than necessary. We can't speak enough to Mary's ability to problem solve, think outside the box and face challenges head-on with a positive attitude. Those attributes were extremely valuable in helping us get the outcome we wanted with our project! Thanks again Mary!

We had used Mary Cox Interior Design Services, owner of a Little Accent, for the remodel of our master bathroom, and was so pleased with the outcome, that when we decided to gut out (& add a 2nd floor), to remodel my parents former home for our new residence, we knew who to call. The project was quite an undertaking. It involved the initial design direction, the selection of all materials, paint colors throughout, custom furniture and design & manufacturing of custom hand knotted area rugs to name just a few items. I decided to copy some of the many texts I wrote to Mary during the duration of the year + long project as they sum up our feelings about her work: Today was fun. Thank you for all YOUR hard work. I don’t think you have ever had clients who are more satisfied with the work you have done for them. You have turned this house into a retreat and safe haven. A place we can come home to and relax and recharge which is desperately needed right now. As we drove out tonight I could see the light reflecting off the art and it made my heart happy. My husband relayed to Mary that when he came home and the sun was setting, the light hit the TV wall (on which Mary designed vertical wave tiles) and it gave the appearance of water rippling down the wall. Very cool. He also stated that even though this house is new to them every time he comes in the house he feels like he is already “home”. This is way more than just a house.
