Amelia Bennett,White Silo Interiors has been a Godsend for me. She helped me with small projects like designing a closet and finding furniture for me. She is such a good listener and really understands my needs. I would recommend her to anyone and no project is too big or too small which is so nice.

Just had the pleasure of working with Amy on a complete renovation of my condo in Nags Head. The end result was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! In addition to her design expertise, the process was easy, efficient, and within budget. Couldn’t be happier!

We hired Amy at White Silo to renovate the lower level of our home in Corolla, and we have been very pleased with the process and results. This project included painting, new flooring, lighting and a bathroom renovation. Amy is a delight to work with, professional and knowledgable, and we look forward to working with her in the future!

We were overwhelmed with where to start when it came to furnishing the living room of our beach house. It's a very open space that needed to serve multiple purposes. After searching Houzz, we found Amelia. She was very prompt in her response to our request. She came to our home, discussed our needs, took measurements, and came back to us with a plan and some ideas/pictures of furnishings. She helped us through numerous decisions, ultimately helping us order new furniture. After the furniture arrived, there were some issues from the manufacturer, and Amelia was very persistent in ensuring we got what we purchased. We ended up getting our sectional re-made, which would not have happened without her help. We really enjoyed our interactions with Amelia, and will definitely work with her again in the future!

I cannot say enough good things about Amy and her level of service and expertise. We completely remodeled and reconfigured the downstairs of our house and converted an attached garage into our master suite. Amy was instrumental in helping with the lighting layout and correcting some plumbing issues throughout the house, as well as helping with color selections, cabinet finishes, lighting and so much more. My husband and I were pretty opinionated about what we liked and didn’t like and she always respected our choices but would point out pros and cons of other options that we may not have considered. Our remodel occurred during Covid in a crazy boom time for construction and Amy was relentless in finding subcontractors when our contractor could not find them! Nobody could find a tile guy and she ask so many people that we ended up having three people come out to look at the project and give us a bid in one day! She solved many problems and dealt with a lot of issues that I didn’t have time to deal with. I could go on, but I will just say, if you need an interior designer. Amy has the experience, the sources and the professionalism that is required to get the job done! Our house is beautiful and I love every choice we made!

Amelia was a pleasure to work with. We purchased a 35 year old beachhouse in Avon with the intention of preserving the old school character while still updating it. Amelia helped us identify what needed to be updated first and she not only added design value but she also smoothly scheduled and managed all the subs and worked within our budget and timeline which was challenging with the supply and labor issues this past year. This was our fist time working with a designer and working with Amelia was a creative and enjoyable experience. We look forward to working with her on Phase 2!

Amy Bennett of White Silo Studio in Manteo, N.C. was chosen by me to decorate the Great Room in my home because of her familiarity with Roanoke Island, the N.C. Outer Banks, the Williamsburg style of Virginia, and Low Country homes in S.C. She brought with her an extraordinary work team including a craftsman interior carpenter, wallpaper muralist, electrician, and others. Her expert guidance with furniture styles and fabrics, paint colors, stone countertops, lighting fixtures, rugs and more was accomplished with thoughtful consideration of my preferences and tastes. Importantly Amy was always enthusiastic to introduce newer transitional ideas to embellish my predictable traditional pathways in order not to favor an occasionally boring pallet. I found Amy to be very patient with my decorating inexperience and comfortably at ease (nonjudgmental) during all our communication by phone calls, text and email messaging, and very proactive via USPS and FedEx in sending me ample paint color samples and fabric swatches. I feel the final in-home results to be far superior to what I had originally visualized and I am quite proud of all our collaborative efforts. Amy's services are quite a true value considering how accessible she always was, how cooperative and encouraging she was, and how she made my project seem special to her which made it fun for me to help manage our project. When my husband and I decided it was time to remodel, we new we didn’t have the time, the connections or the expertise to pull off a transformation from “obviously ‘90s style” to a modern coastal vibe. When we bought our 20yr old beach condo in Manteo we had no idea how to blend the “furnished” condo with our own furniture and style. We also knew renovations were needed to make the place more appealing to renters. Our goal was to create an inviting space with a cohesive look and a bit of a wow factor. She was aware of the issues with busy contractors and delayed Covid timelines and helped ensure we got everything done on time. Amy is great to work - we trust her design knowledge which makes it easy to execute on her recommendations. I also know that at any time I can email or text her an idea and get honest feedback. Our work is not over and after the summer rental season we will be calling Amy to help plan the second phase of updates.

Throughout the 20+ years of owning my home, I have done many remodeling projects small & large with multiple contractors.
