Anne Oshman Mosaics

Working with Anne was the best experience. Together Anne and I selected a piece that would work for me! It came out better than I could have hoped for! Highly recommend Anne for this unique artwork.

I comissioned anne to do a piece of work for me. She was outstanding-- very accessible to reach, timely and her work speaks for itself. It was exactly what I had in mind but wouldn't have been able to express it. Anne's a total visionary and I can't wait to order more pieces. I can't stop recieving compliments on this unique and significant piece.

I highly recommend Anne Oshman for custom one-of-a-kind mosaic art murals. We worked with her on a Montclair kitchen project. The 48 x 24 piece was to be installed above a 48" wide range and inset in the main backsplash. The client wanted an image of pheasants and Anne worked with us to select the best image, tile colors and tile frame. Anne kept us informed throughout with emails and progress photos. At her invitation, we went several times to her studio to review and approve the piece as it was taking shape. We are thrilled with the final results and how smoothly the process was from first contact to installation. Anne is the best combination of creative and professional.

I had seen Anne's work in an article in the N.J. Monthly Magazine and by the pictures I can tell she was very talented. So on a whim I called to commission her to make me a mirror for my home. With a few phone calls to go over design and colors my mirror came out stunning. It really was beyond my expectations! She's lovely to work with, the mirror was completed sooner then expected. I'll be taking photo's as soon as it get hung.

I have worked with Anne Oshman and her company, in various capacities, for close to ten years, as a gallerist representing her work, and also as a professional photographer documenting her beautifully executed sculptures and mosaic panels for her portfolio. She has always been a pleasure to work with and has inspired me for her vision and ability to work within a traditional mosaic format, while infusing it with a contemporary and innovative approach to form and subject matter. Whenever possible I never hesitate to refer her to my network of architects and designers for suitable projects. If you are considering a mosaic artist for your project I highly recommend Anne for her creative vision, attention to detail, and ability to produce the work within budget and a structured timeline.

I commissioned Anne to fabricate a mosaic table top for a coffee table my decorator was having created. My decorator gave Anne swatches of material as well as a quick sketch of his idea. She matched the colors perfectly in smalti, and recreated his idea in precision measurements. Anne's work is meticulous as well as her attention to detail. She often invited me to her studio to watch the progress, which was a real treat. The coffee table looks fantastic in my den! I wouldn't hesitate to commission Anne for another piece of art.

Anne created prototypes based on supplied Specs for a new bath accessory collection that Mike + Ally will be producing. She not only followed the cad drawn designs but made excellent enhancements. Anne's mosaic experience made the process seamless.

Anne's beautiful work touches me on a deeply personal level. The first mosaic Anne created for me was "ground art" for the entry to my home; a crown to adorn the jewel that was my home and garden. It was perfect; an unexpected treat and a feast for the eyes. For a wedding anniversary, my husband purchased my second Anne Oshman; The Waltz, which was lovingly hung above our fireplace. This piece had long been on my mind for two reasons: first I am an avid ballroom dancer, and as Landscape Design student, I had been seeking a mosaic subject for an exterior wall of a rather grand pavilion. With keen insight, Anne recommended this piece as a trompe d'oeil window, hinting at romance within the pavilion. Fortunately for me, this was a hypothetical project or I would not be the proud owner of the mosaic! At one time Anne was commissioned to create a mosaic mural for a hospital. My heart bursts with pride that the gardenesque theme she chose was inspired by a garden I designed. When Anne learned that my father had ridden an antique "high wheel" bicycle across the country, she was intrigued with the bicycle and his costume from the late 1800's. She used a photograph she took of him to create a beautiful mosaic, which family and friends pooled together to purchase for his 80th birthday in December, 2014. He is truly honored with this heirloom. I would LOVE to commission Anne to create mosaics for my clients' garden walls or walkways. Indeed, I would love to have an Anne Oshman in my own garden. Her works are delightful, sensitive and courageous, just like Anne herself.

I bought a piece of fine art mosaics from Anne several years ago. It is hanging in my den, and never ceases to amaze me how many people comment on not only her choice of subjects, but the beautiful work that she does. Recently I've acquired a new piece, this time in stained glass that sits on my windowsill in my kitchen. The light comes through, and it's absolutely luminous.
