A couple of years after a major project they completed in our prewar apartment, the Gaudioso team returned to do a smaller job: painting and plastering a bedroom and doing painting and touch-up after a window installation by another company that needed some tidying up and small repairs. They did a terrific job, both in painting the room to match the rest of our home and in repairing and painting our window frames. They listened to our needs, strategized with us about how to get the job done right, and started and finished on time. We are grateful for the great work they’ve done in our apartment — both on big and small jobs — and would recommend them highly.

My family has been hiring Gaudioso Contracting since 2016 for multiple renovations on our 2 family home. I think the fact that we have hired them time and time again for our renovation projects speaks for itself. They do excellent work, are up front about costs, and are quick to respond to any questions. They also seem to take pride in their work, as they well should. We have had so many compliments on the renovations to our home over the years. This time they redid our roof, completed some minor repairs to our rental unit (painting etc) and filled in the holes for two AC wall units that we had just replaced with mini splits. The worker that does their brick work is meticulous. He matched the brick pattern exactly. It is nearly impossible to tell that a huge hole was filled in. Work was completed within a week and the apartment and outdoor areas left clean. We would hire them again without hesitation.

Working with Gaudioso Contracting made my kitchen renovation so much easier than I expected: From planning to completion. One of the many great benefits in working with these folks is that they made helpful design suggestions, and use a terrific local cabinet maker - I had been worried about supply chain issues holding up the project - but cabinets, counter delivery and tile backsplash installations went so smoothly under Luis' (the foreman's) supervision. All the folks at the main office were very helpful and patient in answering my numerous questions. This project was done during one of the many heat waves, and the workers were diligent and cheerful. I'm so happy with the results, the kitchen is really transformed into a lovely workspace. I especially appreciated Luis' attention to detail, and follow-through on even the smallest items. I'll work with Guadioso Contracting again for my next project, and I highly recommend them!

The Gaudioso team was a complete lifesaver for my husband and me. We had worked with another contractor on renovations of our first apartment, however they disappeared before the job was done and it quickly became apparent that much of the work that had been completed was problematic. Gaudioso worked with us to identify what work remained (either had never been completed or needed to be re-done) and completed it with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. They were particularly attuned to keeping the space clean, as we were living in the apartment while they worked. In fact, there were several days where members of the team washed the dirty dishes in our sink for us! Without their help, our apartment would never have been done before the arrival of our first child - who joined us three weeks early, just as the Gaudioso team was finishing. My only regret is that I did not find Gaudioso sooner. They will definitely be my first choice for any future contracting work! We hired Anthony Gaudioso to remodel our kitchen and bathroom in our 2BR prewar in Sunnyside, Queens. While our estimates came in about the same, what tipped the scale in Anthony's favor was that when he came to give us an estimate, he was very straightforward about the plumbing costs associated with renovating prewars. Because he told us that more than likely we would need to replace pipes, we were able to start the project clear-eyed about additional costs. Luis and his crew were always on time, masked, and never left a mess at the end of the day. They respected the building's rules, and we never had any complaints from our super or neighbors about their comings and goings. We were very impressed with the quality of workmanship, especially with our very specific bathroom tiling. We did have a serious problem arise with our range specifications, but Anthony worked closely with us until we found a solution with the appliance dealer. What's most important is how problems were dealt with as they arose, and we were very satisfied with that aspect. Would hire them again!

I am very pleased with the contracting work done by Gaudioso Contracting on my apartment. They were very thorough with the work they did on the complete renovation of my kitchen, renovations in the bathroom, and the painting and replacement of the closet doors throughout my apartment. After doing my research, I settled on Gaudioso Contracting to renovate my co-op in NYC. I didn’t want to spent a fortune on my apartment as it was already in fairly good shape. Anthony (the owner) understood my needs and worked with me on the total cost. The work was completed on time and the whole team (both workers at the apartment and the office staff) were thoroughly professional. They did a really good job on my bathroom renovation and also on the installation of pocket doors to my bedroom, fixing the hallway arches, installing recess lighting, and a full paint job. Nicolas, the project manager was simply perfect; he patiently attended to all my questions and needs and worked with me on several changes I requested after the work was started. Gaudioso Contracting was amazing - I highly recommend them and I'm so happy I found them to do my renovation. They worked with me every step of the way, answered every question I had, and did impeccable work. Other companies wouldn't work with me because the job wasn't big enough for them (meaning I wasn't ready to invest over $100K). Gaudioso's team treated me like I was their most important client! Gaudioso Contracting Co. inc. (Mr. Anthony Gaudioso Owner} is very professional, sincere and honest human being in person you can always rely on his word by word. His estimate on any project is very reasonable. He will start the work and finish in the time he stated you in the contract. His other associates associated with him are good experienced and helpful. They have always performed their work on timely and systematically in them in their own fields. His office staff are very cheerful and pleasant will try to help you if you call them on phone anytime and update you on the progress of the project. And also, help you to seclect your choices the colors, styles and any other necessary appliance discuss with you and also consider your take your opinion. They are only interested in getting you the most benefit about their knowledge. and do the job well which will look beautiful. It is not the construction, its's a satisfaction of every customer what they would like to want including choices of their appliances, colors, styles. If I have another project i do not look to anyone. Because I trust them fully. My job was completed without any meetings with the Owner or staffs. Everything was on phone. I hired Gaudioso Contracting for a bathroom remodel, washing machine plumbing installation, new floor installation and doors. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the quality and timeliness of the work. Change orders were added on as needed for our project without issue. The quote I was given was broken down by line item and very accurate. I was also in frequent communication via email, text, and FaceTime throughout the entire renovation process to ensure line items were addressed. I did not use their design services (which are offered) as I already had everything established and ready to order. The vendors that were suggested to me worked out well for our flooring needs. While the rooms in our apartment were protected from mess and dust, we had to request additional protection in our kitchen for cabinets and countertops. All in all, I am very satisfied with all of the work, I've recommended them to some friends and neighbors, as well as re-hired them for an upcoming job.

The team from Gaudioso did a wonderful job in our pre-war Manhattan apartment. We were renovating two bathrooms and creating a new small office space, all consistent with the 110-year-old spirit of the apartment. Travis, Albert and the rest of the Gaudioso team were able to replicate period details with historically authentic tile, parquet flooring, and a cove ceiling in the new office, plus a pocket door, moldings, fixtures, and other period details that blended with the rest of the apartment. They did superb work, managing the big picture and the smallest details with great care and skill, handling all plumbing, electrical, flooring, general construction, tiling, and much more. They were careful about Covid safety and respectful of our living space when we were living at home during the renovation. Our new spaces are fabulous, and we would gladly work with Gaudioso again on future projects.

I have used Gaudioso for three separate projects: [1] bathroom vanity & medicine cabinet replacement; [2] kitchen cabinet painting; and [3] LVP flooring. Because the 1st project was so well done, I was confident in hiring the company for the subsequent 2 projects. Everyone, from reception to president to project manager to workers, has been responsive and paid attention to detail. All adjustments were made as requested. Each crew knew what it was doing. I feel I have found a company I can trust and use for any and all home improvement projects.

Though I was a bit apprehensive when I decided to go with Gaudioso Contracting, it was the right choice to make. Anthony was patient through the months-long roadblocks that my coop and the city threw into the already-approved renovation plan, but the team got to work immediately when the approval came. Then throughout the actual work, I found the project manager, Travis, to be very knowledgeable and organized and his workers to be neat, efficient, and courteous (I lived in the midst of it, so I know). A major bonus was that they were liked and appreciated by my closest neighbor and the building's super. I'm very happy with how the renovation turned out, and that's due entirely to everyone's professionalism.

After a lengthy search for the right contractor for a bathroom renovation (I'm a first-time homeowner and first-time renovator), I landed on Gaudioso contracting for a couple of reasons. Anthony Gaudioso himself came out to take a look at the property, their pricing was competitive landing roughly in the middle of the 5 or 6 quotes I got, and their professionalism was through the roof. They were communicative and have a very efficient office team (Allison and Mike), and their foreman (Luis) who came out to take another look before I finalized, and also managed the project, was awesome. I had one stipulation going into this which was that the work had to be done by a certain date as I was heading in for back surgery. They were able to commit to this and get it done - this was a huge weight off my shoulders as I was well aware that renovations can go over and that wasn't an option for me. We were so happy with the quality of the work and the team themselves - to say these folks are clean would be an understatement. We vacated the property during the project (working from home in a 1-bed during a renovation wasn't possible) and they covered and wrapped everything - I think the dog would have been wrapped too if we hadn't taken him with us. I bought all the fixtures, tiles, hardware, etc. myself, all from different retailers and essentially left them a giant stack of (well-labelled!) items, and they were able to navigate through them and install every piece without needing any assistance. I felt so comfortable with the team that I barely checked in on them and just chatted with Luis on text. I would absolutely recommend these guys again, and they're going to be my first port of call for any contracting needs moving forward!

Let me start by saying that I have never written a review for anything before, but the experience working with Gaudioso Contracting was so wonderful I could not pass up the opportunity to share! From the complimentary assessment to the final walkthrough, the entire team was exceedingly professional. I first worked with Gaudioso Contracting 4 years ago for a gut renovation in my small apartment. The business owner and particularly the office project manager Allison was highly proficient and organized throughout the process management. All interim billing and communications were handled very professionally. I recently worked with the team again on a flooding damage on my flooring. Allison listened attentively about the issues I experienced and quickly turned around a plan for the recovery work. Luis and his team who worked onsite for the repair was strict about the Covid safety compliance and they were wearing masks for the whole project and kept the work site clean and tidy. They were careful and showed great responsibility in putting the floor back efficiently, and also helped me fix a couple of other wear and tear in the apartment. I appreciate all their help especially during this tough year when home means a lot more than during the usual times. Thank you!

I had a great experience with Gaudioso Contracting. First of all, it can be hard to find a contractor to do small construction jobs. I needed a contractor to build a storage space (which required breaking a wall) and to completely strip my closets of everything inside, and to patch and paint. I had a bad experience with a previous contractor so I needed a lot of hand holding. Anthony Gaudioso and Allison, his office manager, were great people to work with. They answered my many questions and were very patient and helpful. I was also very pleased with the job itself. Luis, the project manager, was very knowledgeable and communicated with me throughout the project. Best of all, Luis and his crew did a great job creating my storage space, patching and painting. They also replaced some doors for me. They finished the job on time and all went smoothly. They also came in on budget. The crew also did a great job cleaning up after everything was completed.

We contacted Gaudioso Contracting Inc a month after our original contractor walked out on us part-way through the kitchen remodel. Gaudioso was very sympathetic (we were a mess - a month with no contractor and the apartment unusable) and swiftly moved into the project. The project manager pointed out an additional piece of work that the original project manager had not noticed (that a wall would need to be rebuilt before being tiled). They completed the work to a high standard and came back to attend to a few details I noticed afterward. We now have a beautiful kitchen. More than anything, I would like to emphasize how supportive the project manager and office manager were - they knew that we had had a bad contractor experience and went out of their way to make this the exact opposite. Please use them!

Anthony and his project manager Travis did a fantastic job renovating my two bathrooms & kitchen last year. The bathrooms & kitchen required a gut renovation. The quality of the work was excellent & the project was completed on schedule.

My review: In a word-Fantastic. I had gutted a kitchen and bathroom, replaced the wood floors and did various other alterations . If you need a few more words- they would be- knowledgeable, responsible, timely, efficient, easy to work with and you will end up with a beautiful result. The team was responsive and so helpful in guiding me through the technical details. Having seen the change many neighbors have been amazed that 'its the same apartment'! I will happily and confidently call on them for my next apartment project!

Anthony and his team performed a gut renovation of our home in Brooklyn Heights back in the spring of 2016. As such, we did not hesitate to contact them again to assess and repair damage caused by a ruptured steam pipe in our wall. The ruptured steam pipe caused significant damage to that wall and part of the nearby ceiling and floor. Anthony and his team (Nick and others) were extremely helpful in quickly acting to make sure the area was properly dried out, as well as performing before and after mold tests. The walls, ceiling and floors were very professionally repaired (New sheetrock, repainted, etc.) and done quickly. Highly recommend.

Anthony and his team did a beautiful job on my bathroom (gut reno) and kitchen. The work quality was excellent and attention to detail was meticulous. I’m so happy with the decision to hire them and the end result. The foreman Nicolas and work crew were very respectful of my apartment and building during the project - several neighbors and building staff commented how the disruption was minimal and that the workers where there on time and ready to go each day. It took longer than expected, but there were no issues with scope or budget. Anthony accommodated reasonable requests within the scope and didn’t nickel or dime on anything. Allison from his office was immediately responsive to any questions. Very professional all around. I would hire Gaudioso again and recommend them highly.

Anthony and his team renovated our ground floor. We went from a living room, dining room and kitchen, to a more open plan. We also added a small bathroom, and laundry. We added a slate floor in the kitchen and bathroom, and a new hardwood floor in the dining and living area. This was a long, difficult process, but Anthony and their team were honestly, amazing. Not only was their craftsmanship top-notch, but everyone involved was incredibly polite, accommodating, gracious, and actually pleasant to have around. Now our ground floor is more open, spacious and light-filled, and most importantly, much more convenient for my elderly mother. Recommended enthusiastically.

Our kitchen had been remodeled 15 years ago and our slide in range and over the range microwave were in serious disrepair. We needed to replace them but we recognized that all our cabinetry was in excellent condition so we wanted to preserve the good and replace the bad. We had two problems: The range depths had become larger; the kitchen doorway was too small for the new range sizes. We knew that for the small job of enlarging the doorway and installing the new appliances would make it difficult to find a contractor for the job. I called several of the contractors and most indicated that they only did complete remodeling jobs. But when I called Gaudioso Contracting Inc. Anthony made an appointment to look at the job within 1 week. He came promptly at the designated date, evaluated the job and gave us two quotes that considered a potential difficulty with matching the old gas valve with the new ranges. He recommended we contact AHC Appliances for information regarding the best choices for our kitchen needs. That was a great recommendation our purchase of items from the list of the choices they gave us was at the cheapest prices we were able to find on the net and in other local stores including big box stores. We scheduled the work to begin in two weeks and to be completed within 3 days. The workers arrived on time, were neat, and cleaned the area each evening before they left. The work done was of the highest quality and the workers quickly rectified the one minor problem. There were no annoying change requests to increase the price quoted and the workers were able to find an appropriate adapter for the gas valve so the cheaper quote was charged. They completed the work in the specified time. Overall an outstanding job and pleasant experience.

It went absolutely as all projects should go (beautifully). As expected I was nervous prior to such a large undertaking BUT working with Luis (project manager) changed all that as he was incredibly responsive and guided me thru the entire practice. Not only did Luis perform the task of project manager but he assisted in many design decisions and he was spot on. These people are professionals and I would highly recommend them as I will definitely use them again if I need work done down the road.

I have just finished my fourth job with Gaudioso Contracting: a complete kitchen renovation, a complete bathroom renovation, a partial bath renovation, and a small handyman job -shelves for my window boxes. The fact that I have hired this company repeatedly speaks for itself. There is no one else I would work with. The jobs are always finished on time, within budget, excellent workmanship. The entire staff is available, friendly, helpful. They are courteous, clean up each day, and Anthony Gaudioso and his team are a pleasure to work with. I recommend them very highly.

I needed work done in a new apartment within a very short time frame. Anthony Gaudioso was the only contractor of the three I interviewed who performed a detailed walk-through, offered suggestions about how to achieve the desired effect at a lower cost to myself, and did not attempt to shame me into trendy "upgrades" - which is to say that he was respectful, professional, and focused. Both he and his foreman were easily available by cell. The crew was meticulous. The price Anthony gave me was significantly more reasonable than the estimates I received from the other two, which I experienced as appropriate to the job, a very straightforward one. By comparison, the estimates that I received from the other two contractors felt inflated and in line with "Manhattan prices" i.e. what they could get away with. The Gaudioso way of doing business involves a final walk-through prior to completion, and the final tweaks I requested were done to perfection; and the final product was faultless. I recommend Gaudioso Contracting whole-heartedly and will not hesitate to use them again.

Complete renovation of kitchen and bathroom. Repaired damage caused by overflowing tub in condo above mine. Everything removed and replaced. All flooring, walls, ceiling, new plumbing, walk-in shower and electrical system upgraded. From his first visit, Anthony Gaudioso listed to my plans and concerns and made excellent suggestions concerning the renovation.He promptly submitted a proposal including a detailed payment schedule. work plan and performance measures. His budget was right on target--there were no surprises-- and his team stuck to the scheduled timeline. From beginning to end, my experience with Gaudioso was positive. Anthony was readily accessible, his office staff efficient and polite, my assigned foreman Travis was a gem and all the workers reflected Gaudioso's commitment to customer service. Gaudioso Contracting did a complete renovation of my tiny studio apartment kitchen in New York City. From my very first meeting they were courteous, helpful and professional. Their estimate seemed fair to me based on what other contractors had submitted and so we proceeded. Even though it is a small kitchen, they treated it as if it were in a mansion on Long Island. Their work was meticulous and quick....and when it was all finished they had a cleaning crew come to clean the plaster dust from the entire apartment. I love my new kitchen and I thank them every time I walk into it., they are simply the best!
