Aptitude recently finished our basement including a bedroom, bathroom, rec and living room areas. We enjoyed working with Matt and his team. They took the time to plan the job up front and provided us the flexibility to customize during the process. From a customer service perspective, Aptitude has set the bar very high. All of his team, including subcontractors, were very professional, courteous, and focused on the quality of their work. We are thrilled with the results and plan to use Aptitude on future home projects.

Overall I felt Aptitude Design &Build did an excellent job with our kitchen remodel. Matt listened to our wants and incorporated them into the plan. Our renovation included converting a small footprint kitchen and an unused dining room into an eat in kitchen with large island, walk in pantry and separate laundry room. His workmen were courteous and on time. The team responded to questions and followed up with some minor fixes after the job was completed. The only reservation I had was when the time line ran over and they tried to hurry things along. The floors were not done well and had to be redone which cost us time. But Aptitude backed up their work and had the floors redone. I’ve recommended Matt and his team to our daughter to do their kitchen. They are honest and do quality work. I would use them again for future jobs

I have hired Matt and his team for various projects several times over the years. Matt and his staff are extremely reliable and professional and treat my house with respect. I never have any hesitancy giving my house key to them while I go to work and they are working at my house. Matt stands behind his workmanship. If small repairs to his work needed due to settlement etc..he has returned to fix stuff months later without any charge. I wholeheartedly recommend Aptitude design and build.

I had a great experience with Aptitude. I worked with Matt and his team to design and build-out my commercial property. This talented group of architects and construction professionals did quality work, kept the job site clean and orderly, were polite and professional and finished when promised so that we could be open for business. Its a deeply talented company that gets things done. Even the City and County Inspectors were complimentary of their work and progress!! Its so important to find a contractor you can trust for your project. Aptitude is the one.

Matt and his team did a great job for us on 2 bathroom projects. One was a floor to ceiling remodel and the other was an update. Both projects exceeded our expectations on every front. Quality, cost, design, and schedule were as or better than promised. It was really a pleasure having his team in our home, working with them on the many real time decisions that needed to be made to ensure we had the best for our needs. Matt and Tim were GREAT to work with! I could not be happier! They retiled three of my bathrooms. Tim was here on time every day, worked quietly, was very professional, cleaned up every day, protected my walkways where he walked and kept the dust to a minimum. No to mention his work was SUPERB! He is very conscientious about his work. Laying tile properly is like a big jigsaw puzzle, and Tim knows how to do it to a tee! Matt, Tim and Aaron did a phenomenal job of recreating our master bath. Each phase of the renovation was done well and with much attention to detail. I can't say enough about the amazing quality of the workmanship. In addition, every worker who came into our home was kind, courteous and solicitous of our wishes and plans for the bathroom. Matt and Aptitude have worked in our home on three different jobs. Two backsplashes in the kitchens of two different homes--one a newer home, the other a remodeled older home. He also took on updating our master bathroom in a 30+ year old home. The work in our two kitchens was excellent. The tilers always cleaned up after themselves everyday so that we could prepare meals and function in our kitchen over the (probably) week it took to finish each job. The Master Bath updating in the 30+ year home took over a month to complete--probably at least 6 weeks. Matt's men did excellent work--we are very please with the job and continue to love the design--it works very well for us and added a lot of usable space to the MB. I couldn't tell you how patient Matt was with us as we changed our minds on tub removal, door location changes and more. They did excellent work on a tough job. Thank you, Matt and your great crew!

The team from Aptitude was impressive from our initial conversation and planning discussion throughout completion of the project. Matt has been a very reliable supplier at my house. He completed 5 major projects in my home including the master bathroom(20K), guest bathroom(15K), kitchen remodel(40K), basement bathroom(20K), and utility room floor(3K). These were accomplished over the past 7 years and all to our total satisfaction. The basement bath was a design and build including permits for all of St Peters unique requirements which were appropriately satisfied. Matt and his team get my vote of confidence and my recommendation.

Aptitude did several projects for us. One was a rehab of a large surface wall, staircase, and balcony in our tri-level house. The quality of the work was outstanding, and Matt Mierek was very easy to work with and very responsive. Another was a rehab of our back cedar deck and installation of a decorative block wall, and removal of a window in the back of the garage. Matt had innovative ideas that saved money, and the result was very good.
