Über uns

Barker Wagoner Architects is a full service architecture, planning, and interior design/build firm, serving the Northern California region for 28 years. We are a research-based design firm that utilizes the latest technology to drive the design and construction process. We offer both traditional architectural design and planning services as well as a unique "turnkey" design/build service approach. We believe that each client and project is unique, and work with our clients to seek unique and creative solutions. We carry LEED credentials and believe that consideration of resource usage and sustainability are an integral part of good design, and should not come at a premium. We also believe in a highly professional approach to the design and construction process that emphasizes communication and transparency. We are skilled in working with challenging city agencies and departments throughout the San Francisco Bay Area to shepherd projects through the entitlement and permitting process. With design and construction "under one roof", our design teams understand construction and are able to control cost and develop innovative solutions that are buildable.

We hired Daren Wagoner shortly after we purchased our new home because we wanted to add some space and maybe make some improvements to a few of the rooms. After meeting with us to understand what we were looking for, he developed a number of ideas, which really got us thinking about the possibilities. He came up with some very creative concepts that had never occurred to us. In the end, the transformation was incredible. We ended up taking the house down to studs and doing a complete remodel, rearranged floor plan, as well as an addition in the back. Our home now gets amazing natural light and views we didn’t know we had. One thing that was important to us was the flow of the house between the outside and inside, and Daren came up with the key ideas to make it work.His ideas made our house both beautiful and functional and the house fits our lifestyle perfectly. Daren designed the project and their company served as the general contractor, managing the construction process. He made we thought would be a very stressful and difficult process (our last project was a nightmare) into a smooth and enjoyable experience for myself and my family.

I hired Daren Wagoner to do a complete renovation to our home in San Francisco. He had some great ideas, like moving the kitchen to the back and connecting it to the back yard, opening up the space, raising the ceiling, and adding a 40’ long insulated skylight to get light into the middle of the house. The results were amazing! I hired him because his projects show attention to craftsmanship and details, and I liked the design/build approach and the fact that they do much of the work themselves. He spent a lot of time working with me on both the aesthetics and the function of the new kitchen. They built all of the cabinets on site, and new, beautiful custom mahogany windows for the front of the house. Having them doing the work gave me confidence that it would be done right with no surprises. We couldn’t be happier with our choice, and are ecstatic with the result!

Daren worked with us on a remodel in which we added a new sunroom on our house. We wanted a Tahoe look to go with our back yard and I wanted a wide open back. All of this was accommodated with no issues. The city issued permits - no problem and our contractor had no problem with the plans.

For over 30 years I have served the San Francisco Bay Area with construction consulting, and general contracting. I have worked with Barker Wagoner Architects on numerous commercial and residential projects, both as owner's representative and general contractor. My business is based on integrity, intelligence, quality, and value. I've come to know Barker Wagoner also shares these attributes. Regardless of the design aesthetic they all have been innovative and artistic. Even more rare in today's design market is their designs are constructable. Simply said they know how components and materials go together. This offers better value with a greater degree of bid competitiveness, and ultimately less changes. From feasibility, to design, to administration, the Barker Wagoner design teams are not only consummate professionals, but fun people to work with.

Kommentiert: Who makes the cabinets? door style and color? thanks!Vivian, I built all of the cabinets in our shop. The doors are vertical grain doug fir "armorcore" plywood slab doors with clear finish.
