We are a Cambridge RIBA Chartered Practice, set up in 1983, operating from riverside studios on Bridge Street overlooking the Cam. We work with a wide range of clients and produce diverse architectural solutions from new build ‘forever’ houses to refurbishing historically significant Listed buildings. We believe in making the design process an enjoyable collaboration with our clients and begin the design process with close initial collaboration. Ensuring that the project meets not just your brief but that it is designed for you. To help with achieving this, we start with initial freehand doodles and orthographic CAD linework, and progress to photo realistic renderings, 3D BIM models and even potentially a video walk through. We are also able to provide a broad concept model as a 3D file that you can explore and navigate around. We bring to all of our projects a rigorous design approach that seeks to work creatively, while pragmatically harmonising with the honest expression of how a building works, its construction and its performance. All the architects in the office also take a keen interest in environmentally friendly architecture and sustainable design is integrated into all projects. Both passive and active green measures are considered from optimising building orientation to reliable sustainable technologies.
