BENJAMIN ANDRES ARCHITEKT is a multidisciplinary architecture and design firm founded in 2017 in New York City. We understand the lifestyle needs of our clients and prioritize them equally with time and budget parameters towards the realization of informed designs that will stand the test of time. Our appreciation of history and detail goes hand in hand with the integration of modern building technology. Our work is not limited to any particular style. BENJAMIN ANDRES ARCHITEKT creates innovative designs that address and transcend functional and environmental considerations, and are, importantly, beautiful. Our clients value quality and know that good design is never superficial. They recognize that the quality found in their projects comes from the thoroughness and open-mindedness of our thinking as much as from the material construction. BENJAMIN ANDRES ARCHITEKT has professionals licensed to practice architecture in the state of New York and is qualified to provide a complete range of architectural design services for new construction and adaptive reuse of existing buildings. We have worked in many of the most significant residential landmarks in New York City, including the Eldorado at 300 Central Park West (Emery Roth, in collaboration with Margon & Holder, 1929), 834 Fifth Avenue (Rosario Candela, 1931), and One Sutton Place South (Rosario Candela, 1925), among others. We are currently engaged in apartment renovations in TriBeCa, a vacation home in Lagos, Nigeria, and a residence in Austerlitz, NY. Our Interior Design services integrate seamlessly with the architectural design and technical aspects of each project, providing complete oversight of the project from start to finish.

My husband and I would highly recommend Ben! He is easy to work with, knowledgeable, reliable and has a beautiful and clean design aesthetic. I felt he a great job of incorporating my requests and interests, while advising me on what would make sense given his experience. He is patient and was so easy to work with through all my design changes! We couldn't be happier with the final result and are loving our new kitchen.

Working with Ben and his team on my whole home remodel was a fantastic experience. He came up with a layout for the existing space of my home that fit all our needs and maximized the useable space in a way we hadn’t even thought of. It was a long process to get final approvals but Ben and his team were on the ball throughout and helped iterate incrementally throughout. I highly recommend them and will definitely be reaching back out if I ever have to do another remodel.

This is the second time we worked with Ben. When we bought our condo we had great trust in buying a place that needed lots of work done because we knew we would work with Ben. Everyone who walks in immediately says ‘this place is amazing’. Ben emphasized the natural character in our house, created some real show stopper moments, was incredibly responsive, listened to what you need, recommended fixtures and materials that are reasonably priced, used the furniture and art we wanted to keep, and helped to manage our GC and subcontractors thoughtfully but gracefully. All with a dry wit. In short, Ben is a gem. We highly recommend him to anyone needing an architect. We plan on working with him again!

Benjamin transformed a dated ’70’s UWS apartment into an open, contemporary home. Benjamin's beautiful design featured a modern kitchen and bathrooms, while addressing structural limitations with innovative solutions. His floor plan reorganized the use of space completely elevating the flow of the apartment making it an inviting WFH and living space. Benjamin and his partner James worked seamlessly on the project, involved in all aspects from design to selecting contractors, NYC permitting, site preparation, suppliers, etc. I feel privileged to have worked with this team and recommend them unequivocally.

Benjamin’s clean and modern aesthetic guided his design and our collaboration on the gut renovation of my 1-bedroom apartment in Manhattan. He and his team worked closely with me and the contractors every step of the way. He was available, responsive, easy to work with and committed to achieving the right results. He solved both design issues and engineering issues. We had weekly meetings with the contractors on-site to ensure the contractors worked to plan and delivered his design exactly the way it was envisioned. His knowledge of Manhattan building requirements and connections with suppliers and contractors was invaluable. I recommend Benjamin and his partner James highly - they exceeded all expectations and I couldn't be happier with the end result.

Benjamin Andres truly helped us create the house of our dreams. He and his team spent the time up front to understand what we wanted and really helped draw out of us those things we couldn't necessary articulate. He managed the entire process for us and ensured that everything stayed on track. Because he truly understood our desired outcome, Benjamin was great about challenging us to contemplate design ideas we would have never thought of ourselves. But at the same time, he always made sure we were 100% comfortable with every decision we made. He was so easy and fun to work with, we literally could not recommend Benjamin more highly, and in fact, have done so on multiple occasions thus far.
