Agitated Aggregate Handcrafted Concrete Elements

Initially I hired Agitated Aggregate to design and build a countertop for my bathroom vanity. He was very professional and takes tremendous pride in his product. I was so pleased with the product and experience that I hired him to do the counter tops for my entire kitchen remodel. My favorite aspect of the kitchen is the integral drainboard that help keeps the workspace dry, functional, and uncluttered. I also like the durability and the ability to take hot pans off the cooktop and set them directly on the counters with no worries. Great product and great guy to work with, I have personally recommended his services to several others

Agitated Aggregate produces beautiful, imaginative, and unique concrete counters, sinks, furnishings, sculptings, etc. The workmanship and attention to detail in every piece is unmatched. Other mediums, such as wood, glass, steal, and brass are often used to enhance the polished concrete finish. Kelly is truly an artisan! His creative energy is never satisfied. He is constantly searching for new ideas, refining his methods, and pushing the boundries of his craft. I have a bench made by Agitated Aggregate that is a focal point in the entry to my home. It is an Arts and Craft inspired piece that has on the surface the gental relief of a stream bed running diagonally accross. The two legs, or stanchions, are tied together with clear, vertical grain fir beams that complement the olive toned concrete beautifully! I am very pleased with my bench. I'm pretty impressed with what a trained and knowledgable professional can do. This is why you hire people. A theme in my home is "cosmic" and I had Kelly make me a end-table shaped as a "star". It is about two feet across and about six inches thick. Classic five point star in a ghost white color. Many of the guests that have seen it are surprised that it is made from concrete. I jokingly tell them to pick it up.-- it's not so easy. I've had a chance to see a number of his other creations. Including a "Fire Table" (Westport Winery), a large cornered fireplace surround (SeaBrook WA, in the Sunset Magazine Idea House), a Bar with Tap holes and drainage basin (private home), a few bath sinks and counter tops, including one with a removable/replaceable cutting board that is "flush" with the countertop. I would hire Agitated Aggregate again. I would provide photos, but this review part of the site doesn't seem to have a place to upload a photo.

I hired Agitated Aggregate to create two custom concrete counters for a home bar I was building. Man, did he exceed my expectations! He was able to make it the color I wanted, he was able to put in a recessed drip tray and installed my beer tap tower, and also acid etched a couple of logos into the bar top. I highly recommend selecting Agitated Aggregate without reservation. Kelly is honest, hard working, and a fine craftsman at his "art".

Kelly Niemi, Agitated Aggregates designed our kitchen countertops. He listened carefully to what we had in mind, added his creativity, and the end product is more beautiful than we ever imagined. Our house is very old with walls that are neither plumb nor straight. This was a non issue as Kelly is a perfectionist at his craft and all fit perfectly when installed. I had a couple very large concrete benches made for my back porch last year to look like wood planks. They turned out exactly how I was wanting and are a real focal point to our back yard.
