Blake Building

If I decide to build again, I will never use this builder. It promised you to finish in 6-7 months and took 19 months to finished and it was always others fault. But you see checking by your construction that days passed and no one is working on it. The worst, items that were claimed under warranty, took almost a year to be fixed. Not serious, always looking for to say "it was not mentioned or not in contract". If you decided to build, put EVERYTHING on black and white, recorded, texted and to EVERYONE involved in your project.

Blake Construction is an excellent choice to manage your home remodeling project. I have worked with them on numerous projects now and can say they are always very competitive, professional and courteous. High quality for a reasonable price as well.

I have been working with Blake Building for the last few years as a window & door sub-contractor for them. Their staff is friendly and fair. Their projects are always beautiful and all of the clients seem to be very satisfied with their experience. Blake Building did a great job on our house. They found a great deal on the land, and once we contacted and requested to be able to have them build for us on the site, they accepted us with open arms and worked with us to come to terms with price and performance. The property is small, but they helped us to maximize the functionality of it and handled all the issues with permits and utilities (these ended up costing them a lot more time/money/effort; but they did a great job of fighting for resolution). We love our house and have asked Blake Bldg to work with us again on finding/building here in Southern Tampa. Building a home is a long and complex process and requires patience on the part of all parties...no matter who your builder would be, you will experience frustrations. From our experience with Blake Building, I think they helped minimize the frustration as much as possible. I especially loved that Blake Building is managed by actual architects who have years of experience in designing homes to suit the needs of the home owners. I don't have a current picture of the finished product, but we always get great compliments from friends and neighbors...we love our home.

We hired Blake Building to work on our 100 year old Bungalow located in a Historic area of Hyde Park in Tampa Bay. The process to renovate in this area can be overwhelming given the restrictions imposed to maintain historic relevance however Peter Bennet and his team worked with us to assist us and educate us throughout the project. The quality of the work was outstanding and the attention to detail allowed us to create a home built for the needs of todays family while still maintaining the aesthetic of our Florida Craftsmen Bungalow. While the project did run into some difficulties, it was not due to Blake Building and they were extremely supportive in helping us when things got tied up. The staff that is employed are true partners and you feel like you are talking with a friend which makes the process that much easier. I would highly recommend Blake Building for your home build.

Pete Bennett and the team at Blake building helped us build the home of our dreams. They were flexible and willing to do whatever it took to accommodate our request and answer our questions. Most of all, the result was outstanding. The quality of the structure and functionality has been beyond our expectations. From design, through the building, and after we moved in to the punch out work, we could not be happier.

Used Blake Building to re-shape our shower and re-tile the bathroom. The workers were very neat and very accommodating to small changes. Overall very pleased with my bathroom.
