I am so happy with my new deck! The process was seamless and I am happy with the results. Caleb took time to explain everything to me in detail and made sure I was happy. Pat and Aaron did a fantastic job as well!

Caleb was very responsive throughout the project. We had multiple bids and Caleb was the most up front about potential issues we could face with the city and helped us navigate that. Even when we had questions long after the project was done, Caleb was quick to respond. Everyone that sees our deck comments on how nice it looks, even the city inspector was impressed with it. We now have a great outdoor space with a screened in area to enjoy bug free outdoors!

Creative Concepts & Design designed and built a pergola for our backyard patio, which turned out better than I dreamed. It turned a spot that gets tons of sun into a nice shady living space that provides a little privacy and helps to complete the outdoor area. From the initial consultation to the installation process, Caleb and Pat were great to work with, very friendly, responsive, and easy to get a hold of. It took just two days to complete the full installation and clean-up process and the crew was professional and very courteous. The pergola turned out amazing, turning a hot, sunny patio into a relaxing outdoor living space.

I decided to go with this company for a lot of reasons the most important being communication, they were easy to contact, they would return your call within a reasonable time. They explained everything in great detail. We were able to go the store to see the colors and materials in person which for my wife was great, she is very picky. Every person I came into contact with was friendly and helpful. The deck looks amazing!

CC&D did an excellent job building a cedar pergola for our 1925 house. Everything was done in an expert manner with attention to detail and without delay. They were on-time, in budget and finished quickly and cleanly. Our highest recommendation. We will hire them again and recommend them to anyone.

Our old deck was falling apart and was too dangerous for our three little kids. We had more than 5 companies come out and bid on the project. Caleb with Creative Concepts & Design was the third company to come out. From the beginning, it was an easy and great experience. Caleb came out to the house and spent more time discussing the project with us than any other company. He talked through different design concepts and options with us. He was also the first one back with a detailed plan and estimate. A few weeks later my wife decided she wanted to make some changes. We were able to come in and look at the different options for material. After briefly talking about it, it was clear Creative Concepts was the right company for the job. The project included tearing down the old deck, ripping out the old patio, and pouring a new patio. Brent and his team took care of the patio. They did a wonderful job. They leveled out the ground, and even spread some of the left over dirt to others areas of the yard to fill in some low spots. Aaron’s team came in next to build the new deck. They got the new deck built in just a few days. They even replaced a section of the siding that had some pretty bad dry rot where the old deck was connected. In all, the experience was great. There were no hidden charges or costs. The deck is exactly has we had envisioned. We’ve already hosted several people for different events and got numerous complements on the deck.

The whole process from designing the deck to the final finished project was very seamless. The one thing that resonates with me is the whole time I felt very confident in the deck builder we chose and no reservations. We had several bids and none of them were as professional as Caleb, none of them were as creative and thoughtful about the design. Caleb's crew worked closely with the landscaper to ensure the overall design, with the patio, deck, and pergola all meshed together. Very happy with the finished project.

The deck looks quite nice. Aaron and Justin were very professional and the job was completed in under a week, even though they had to work around weather and having to go back to complete a couple of other jobs.

We had some friends who had their deck rebuilt, and we really liked it. When our needed replacing this year, our friend gave us the number for Creative Concepts and Design. One of their reps did the design and then we went to a showroom where we could see all of the options for wood, composite materials, railings, and posts. We decided to go with composite and their rep there was very helpful with suggestions about color and lighting options. Our new deck looks wonderful and the lighting on the steps and posts is soft yet effective. Krystal was always prompt in answering any questions or concerns. Creative Concepts and Design replaced our 32 year old wood deck with Tamko composite and Westbury aluminum railing. They did an excellent job. Caleb did the estimate. Brent was the supervisor, and Jim, Reed, Mitchel was the most excellent crew. I had many questions for Caleb and Brent. They were extremely patient and followed up on everything for me. I got 3 estimates, and they were $1000 less than the next lowest, so they are very reasonable. The crew took their time and overcame any surprise problems along the way. The deck and lighting is gorgeous. Very happy with the result!

Creative Concepts recently replaced our large failing wood deck with Fiberon. When we visited the deck store to choose our materials, we did not tell them up front which contractor we were using. They recommended Creative Concepts, so we went into the project feeling pretty confident that we had made the right choice. Caleb, Brent and Kim were excellent to work with, as was our crew of installers. Besides having a beautiful new deck, they managed to remove our old deck and build the new one without damaging any of the landscape that tightly surrounds the deck. Couldn't be happier!

Caleb, Brent and crew were fantastic from start to finish. Caleb, the designer, spent an unusually long time talking through the deck design and making sure he had a thorough understanding of our needs. The price was very fair and the quality of the quality of the work was outstanding. The crew were unusually attentive to detail and made sure to communicate with us when anything needed to be discussed. We have had to hire out other home improvement projects, and this has been by far the best experience on every criteria, from quality to price to communication.

The crew and workmanship was nothing short of outstanding. What also set this company apart from others was their detailed quote by line item. This allowed us to decide if we wanted to accept or remove certain items from our deck replacement. Unfortunately, the project manager was non-existent and rarely returned calls or answered my questions. I would expect the project manager to answer all questions and concerns in a timely manner.

We needed our entire deck and the footings and understructure replaces. Creative Concepts and Design were the most thorough and detailed in the plans. The engineering is solid and the deck is very attractive. The work team were efficient and kept the worksite very tidy, limited impact on our yard. I strongly recommend Creative Concepts and Design for your outdoor project. Ours was a unique challenge...a bridge over a natural backyard creek nestled between large trees. From the very start CCD was all hands on deck. In every aspect of the job, they handled the details, large and small: design, working the architectural review board, scheduling, materials, getting permits, expert carpentry...everything. And the finished project is the talk of the town! Neighbors are streaming by to gaze upon an architectural and artistic wonder. It's beautiful and we're so glad that CCD was on the job. Caleb and Brent built a deck and covered porch for our project and did a great job. The deck was complex, with multiple flights of stairs on different angles. The porch floor was about 20' off the ground, and the top of the roof about 40' above grade. They handled these challenges without any difficulty. They followed the plans carefully and made adjustments where necessary and with good judgment. I could tell from the start that they knew what they were doing and never had to question their methods or workmanship. Their work was top notch, their materials were high quality, and I would highly recommend them.

Love Caleb, Kim, Brent and the crew, I had quotes from multiple companies, but I found Creative Concepts and Design to provide better service with a very fair price. Caleb came out to the house. I provided him a concept and he helped me design the pergolas and pick the correct size lumber to make them match with the size of the house. When Brent and the crew showed up they walked back over the project with me. During the build, Brent created the designs on the ends of the pergolas (no cookie cutter prefab cut) and he was very precise with the measurements and leveling of the pergolas. Brent even insured the pergolas were cross braced, so they do not move since we did not attach them to the house. The crew was extremely friendly, professional, and they were very meticulous to detail. The site was cleaned up every night and nothing was left behind. We love the pergolas and have been asked by our professional lighting personnel and other personnel who completed our project, because they want to refer their customers to Creative Concepts and Design. If we plan in the future on building a deck, we will 100% use Creative Concepts and Design. Thank-you for such excellent work.

I reside in an HOA and had witnessed first hand, Creative Concepts & Designs' construction of no less than five decks in our neighborhood over the last two years. As a result, we recently contracted with the company to replace the existing deck on our home. After understanding what we wanted in scope, the owners made some helpful recommendations which we then had incorporated into our original plan. The owners then completed an architectural drawing, submitted it to the city and received the required building permits. The construction was then begun and completed on schedule and within budget.. During the entire process, the communication with the owners as well as the construction crew ( all of which were clearly very skilled ) was consistently good. Creative Concepts and Design was wonderful to work with designing our patio and pergola. They took our ideas and molded them into a unique project. Since we gave west we needed something to block the afternoon sun, and they helped us design some unique "barn doors" that can be moved to create shade and block the sun. They were very professional and respected our home and yard. In fact, two weeks after the project was done, you could not see any damage in our yard. It's as if the patio and pergola appeared magically. No damage to the sprinklers or grass. I would give them 10 stars if possible and would highly recommend them for your project.

Excellent replacement decking experience. Got a great bed, timely service, great workers who were friendly and worked an 8 to 5 shift. Work was done in two weeks with excellent results, no complaints.

This was a wonderful experience!! It is hard to believe that paying thousands of dollars for a project would move anyone to describe this as wonderful but it truly was. From the initial meeting with Caleb he gave us ideas that we had not thought of. Caleb was always available for any questions or concerns. When the project began the crew arrived when they said that they would and were able to answer any questions that we had. The crew would made us feel like they were working for us on our behalf. This was truly a positive experience!

We had our twenty-six-year-old wooden deck (about 12' x 16') removed and a new engineered wood one spanning the entire back of our home (about 16' x 50') constructed by Creative Concepts & Designs, LLC. We also included a large cedar pergola ( about 8' x 10') with shade system in project. We received three bids for this project, and this one was the most reasonable, though it was not the only factor in our decision to hire this company. The bid presentation by Caleb was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and comprehensive. The work was just as impressive. The job started on time, finished on time and on budget, and we are extremely pleased with the beautiful results. They left a clean job site. We had one very minor thing to finish up that required an email reminder from us, but it was handled the next day to our satisfaction. (Replace a piece of damaged siding where the old deck railing had been removed).

This was an A+ experience from beginning to end. Caleb was quick to return my call, quick to come out to discuss our project, and quick to return a bid. He spent quite a bit of time with me (before being hired) discussing options and aesthetics and laying out various designs. I did receive some other bids, which were comparable in price but I was sure the quality would not be as Caleb described. Brent, Jim, Reid, and the rest of the crew came to start the day they said they would. They were very respectful of our property and my family, and made sure we were satisfied with the work we were doing. We were extremely pleased with our deck and pergola - the craftsmanship and design is beyond our expectations. These are great guys....I highly recommend!

Caleb and Brent did AMAZING work on my deck. Our new deck is BADASS (can I say that on Houzz?)!!! Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is impeccable. Not to mention the wonderful customer service they provided. They were always available to talk and replied to emails promptly. At least one of them was on site during construction at all times to make sure the work done by their guys met their standards. They probably would have done it themselves, but as our deck project was a big one, that involved replacing a new pergola, adding a new trellis, custom-making a floating outdoor bed, extending the deck and fixing other problem areas, they needed extra hands. They always had the nicest people working for them and I always felt comfortable going out on site to talk to them to get the latest updates on the project. Caleb and his crew were great to work with! From the first meeting to the last day on the job they kept us happy and excited about our new large pergola. Working with Caleb was a delight, he is helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Caleb quickly had a vision of what we were wanting in our new deck and turned our estimate around quickly. We called Caleb after we discovered a foundation issue, he & Brent quickly addressed our issues and quickly sent a new estimate which we were very pleased with. Brent and the crew showed up first thing on Monday morning, as promised. The old deck, along with a large cement patio were tore down and hauled away before 10:00 a.m. Our new deck was framed out before the crew left on Monday, leaving the yard/construction site clean and organized for the next day. First thing Tuesday morning the crew was hard at work, when they left Tuesday the decking was all completed and once again the construction site left clean & organized. Our deck was finished Wednesday afternoon, ahead of schedule, and it is beautiful. We are very pleased with our new deck and would highly recommend Caleb, Brent and his crew. Our project was a combo sunroom/deck which encompassed knocking down the old deck, replacing it with a large sunroom and adding the deck out the door. Caleb met with us to discuss all the decking materials - from wood, to composite, to PVC. He factually presented all the pros and cons of each. We decided on the PVC, because of the look and unnecessary maintenance down the road. We also selected an aluminum railing with cool LED lighting under the caps and down the stairs. Both Brent and Caleb came over to design it - batting ideas back and forth. Right then and there we decided to go with theses guys due to their passion for the product and creative ideas. Work started in November. The weather in KC was bitterly cold, but they were there - four guys bundled up each early morning and all day long for about six days. They were dedicated and professional - loved what they were doing. The finished product is beautiful. Caleb worked the deck around a pretty large tree and for extra sizzle - added a bar-top around half of the tree trunk. At night the LED lights under the post caps and down the stairs is breathtaking. I hired Creative Concepts and Design last year to replace my deck. They did such an wonderful job I knew I wanted to hire them again to replace my lake home deck 30 minutes south of Kansas City.
