We have an older home that we wanted to renovate. We were fortunate to meet Jean and begin our renovation. Jean is a Master of Style, Craftsmanship, Detail and Decoration. More than his extreme talents and abilities as a decorator he is honest and a man of extreme integrity. He has made our home something that is unique and we enjoy and treasure every day. Jean transformed my very old home that we bought into a beautifully restored oasis that we love. He is incredibly talented, as an artist, decorative painter and as someone who works so well and so diligently to help the client create the dream home. He and his wonderful team oversaw every detail from painting to construction to picking out fixtures and tile and he was incredible to work with. He really has the most incredible taste and is amazing at knowing exactly what I will like- often before I even explained it. He made the whole project so streamlined and smooth and did not overlook one single detail. He also decorated my home with unbelievable furnishings from Paris that you just cannot find here, as well as fabulous finds from here. The fabrics he chose were incredible and he made it so much fun. He also never tires in his search for exactly what you want- we could not find a game table we like and he had one made and painted it- covered it with a beautiful leather- it was perfect!! My family and I love our home and we could not be happier with Jean. We feel very lucky to have found him.

Jean Carrau is a consummate designer. He has incredible experience, is an extremely talented artist, ran a design school in France, and transformed my home into something uniquely special. Jean is an efficient worker, always meets deadlines and budgets and is a pleasure to work with. Jean has my highest possible recommendation. He does both residential and commercial spaces and is able to adapt to an individual's specific needs. He has very talented painters he works with and has a plethora of resources available for any clients' needs. Anytime I deviated from one of Jean's recommendations, I regretted it. His taste and eye are impeccable. He can look at a space and transform it into something magical that emphasizes the strengths of a particular room. For example, my living room I struggled with for years to decorate. Jean studied the space and quickly recognized that the piano was the focal point of the room, since we all played music. He created a "stage" for the piano with curtains and fabric-lined walls. The balance of the room was custom painted and adorned with perfectly selected furniture to make the space come alive. Jean tries to incorporate furniture that the client already has and is very mindful of managing costs appropriately. After Jean did my living room, he designed my master bedroom and entrance hall. I was absolutely thrilled...and it was an extremely fun process too! It is rare to find a designer that listens to their clients and adapts to their needs. Jean is in a class of his own.
