We first became acquainted with Paul on the purchase of a lakefront lot on Lac St Sixthe and was privileged to see his fine craftsmanship on many of the cottages around the lake. Enlisting the help of architect technologist , Michael Neelin, Paul and his crew created and built a stunning timber frame cottage that we consider our oasis. His attention to detail shows in all aspects of the build. When we considered downsizing in the city and moving downtown to completely renovate an older home, Casa Verde was our first choice. Paul’s expertise lies not only in timber frame construction but restoration of older homes as well. Taking just over one year to complete, Paul transformed our old house to a masterpiece keeping the same footprint. Again the quality of construction, attention to detail , positive attitude and second to none crew make Casa Verde a number one choice.

Paul McElligott and his company Casa Verde Construction was recommended to us by our architect who had a good experience working with him on another project. Our first impression of Paul was that he was very approachable and knowledgeable, and we felt that we had a good rapport. More than this; however, his quote was very well-organized, logical and comprehensive. It was grouped in an easy to understand fashion that made sense which we especially appreciated as novices to this whole business of building. As we began our project, we could not have asked for better availability and attention to our concerns with a good turn-around time for answering questions, correspondence and providing additional quotes or information. The build site was impeccable, and the quality of the construction work and finishing was excellent. Throughout the project, we appreciated Paul’s meticulous attention to detail. In fact, he noticed things that needed to be adjusted before we did. We had regular reviews and check-ins with him during the build process which allowed us to have a better handle on the budget, planning, and cash flow related aspects. Our build was done ahead of time, and we have moved in. We love our new house, love the quality of the work, and we are very happy that we chose to build with Paul. We hired Paul and Casa Verde to renovate our 100 plus year old fishing camp. The result was nothing short of stunning and as one of our members says -- it still takes away his breath every time he goes through the front door. The processes was painless, Paul is honest, straight forward , deals professsionally with inevitable challenges and his pride in building something that is far beyond ordinary is extraordinary. We just retained Casa Verde to renovate our eighty year old boat house and they have done it again. Our century old home required major renovations. The roof, mansard, soffits, gambrels, front porch, all trim and crown moldings needed to be replaced. Many other surprises surfaced as the project moved forward. Paul and his crew made this complex and challenging restoration painless and without issue. We have renovated, built and restored other homes but we have never had such a stress free experience. The knowledge, experience, vision, flexibility, attention to detail, professional approach, clear communication, wonderful attitude and dedication Paul brings to his projects gives his client complete peace of mind. He delivered the end product on time and on budget (any increase in the budgeted estimate was due to unforeseen complications and upgrades we decided to add). A rare experience for anyone who has undertaken home renovations. We are now (January 2015) undertaking more renovations to the interior of the house; master ensuite, laundry room/principal bathroom, butler's pantry, powder room, kitchen counter. I am actually looking forward to the end product because we know that despite the chaos of renovations, we are in excellent hands. We will update when the renovations are completed.
