Exteriors by Chad Robert, Inc. specializes in residential and commercial landscape design and construction. Our clients are an integral part of the design process and because of their input, our gardens have become reflections of their personalities as well as an extension of their living environments. We also focus on providing sustainable economical landscaping that enhances the buildings it surrounds. We are licensed landscape architects and are fully bonded, insured, and licensed landscape contractors. Based in the Arts district of Phoenix, Arizona, our designers work with Arizona's leading architects, interiors designers and general contractors to create unique gardens throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. Our projects include native Sonoran garden settings in Paradise Valley, Scottsdale, Carefree, and Cave Creek in addition to numerous lush, green gardens in such exclusive Phoenix neighborhoods as Arcadia, the Biltmore, and Encanto districts. Each year Exteriors' landscape designs win numerous awards, and our projects have been published in local newspapers and national magazines as well as featured on the Home and Garden Channel. We had a large six figure project where we needed to solve a drainage issue in our front courtyard and rear pool deck. Solving the drainage issue while challenging, was not our biggest issue, making it look great was our challenge. Chad expertly and thoughtfully solved the drainage issue and made our property look spectacular. From fist meeting to finished project was a total of 16 months, where we literally lived with those areas completely dug up for much of that time. Throughout the process Chad was patient with us when we struggled with decisions, and allowed the project to unfold to our style, not one he forced upon us. The best compliment I can offer is that at the end of it all we remain friends.

Striking Stone

Just met with Chad about our backyard update and he gave me some really nice ideas for the future direction of the design based on our space and particular needs. We know this project with be in steps due to our budget but he can see the timeline for the end result. Thanks Chad - You rock!

Chad was able to transform our dated, mature front yard landscape from a boring desert landscape to an inviting fresh welcome to our home. He added two large tress and many smaller colorful plants/shurbs to add interest and color to the yard. We have a good size front courtyard that Chad redesigned into a lovely butterfly, hummingbird, garden. He has excellent skills and knowledge of desert plants and placement . We are very happy with the changes and additions Chad has made.

My backyard looked like it dated back to the building of my home in 1980...treeless, wall-to-wall Saltillo tile, an outdated hot tub and a huge cement block/stucco Kiva fireplace at one end. We interviewed a number of landscape architects who appeared as confused as we were on how to beautify it. We found Chad on Houzz, met with him a few times and my wife and I cannot thank him enough for the beautiful job he did in designing and implementing the renovation of our back yard. He removed the outdated fireplace, created a beautiful fountain, interspersed travertine tile with the Saltillo tile in an attractive design, jackhammered through up to 10" of concrete planting bushes and trees throughout ....after which he installed lighting, drip irrigation and timers. Chad and his employees were a pleasure to work with and the project was completed within the limited budget agreed to. From such a mess before he came on the scene, we are now so proud to be able to show off his wonderful creation to our friends and recommend his services to you .

Chad Robert took a drab, nondescript rundown backyard and created a beautiful sanctuary for us. We are snowbirds and had just purchased this house in north Scottsdale. We interviewed 3 other “landscape architects” that were about as imaginative as a doorpost. They all wanted to tear everything out and replace the same drab footprint. Chad, on the other hand, immediately started doodling and drawing and outlining what would become out beautiful private escape. There was no comparison yet the price was still very competitive. We would definetly recommend him and his crew.

Chad is extremely creative and a delight to work with. He truly enjoys his work and is extremely knowledgeable about the southwest and its special landscaping challenges. He designed and was the general contractor for a new open-air patio that was designed to be consistent with our 1930's Spanish Revival home. He also redesigned our front enclosed patio and designed and oversaw installment of a drip watering system that has saved us from our high water bills and given us peace of mind from our prior erratic watering system. He chose numerous trees, plants and flowers and redesigned the front landscaping of our home. He chose plants that are durable but also attract birds with their flowers. We can't say enough about how competent, creative and professional Chad is. We highly recommend him for any landscape design projects, including complicated patio design.

Chad & his crew did a major landscape design & install a few years ago. He listened to our concerns & wants then came up with a plan that exceeded our expectations. It incorporated classic timeless design with special details including two desert Zen gardens (I constantly get nice comments about our hillside concrete "floating" steps). Over the years some plants have changed (it is 119 degrees here today!) but we have always been pleased with the plant & hardscape design. We have recommended Chad to friends & recently he completed an elaborate tortoise enclosure that both homeowner & "sparky" the tortoise are happy.

Kommentiert: Inside adobe brick fireplaceThere are only a few suppliers of the adobe brick still in business. I would find one of the suppliers and ask them for a referral. This project was done over 18 years ago.

Kommentiert: Who can create this for me perhaps on a less expensive scale in NRH, TNot sure, I don't really know where NRH is or what it stands for. The tiles were antique but are available new (Google cement tile). The Canterra stone coping, border and fire pots were custom carved...
