Amazing! Highly Recommend. We had the pleasure of working with Christian Rice and his team on a complete teardown/rebuild in Coronado. From start to finish it was great. Christian is thoughtful, responsive, knowledgable, and very responsive. Our project required approval by the Coronado Historic Resource Committee before we could get started. Christian worked on our application and was available for questions and advice. Once we cleared that hurdle, we faced the interesting challenge of designing a home on a narrow village lot under newly enacted size and aesthetic guidelines. Christian designed a functional and beautiful home that fit in our construction budget. He worked well with our great builder, Sandcastle Homes. And during the build process he was a great resource and advisor. As needed he offered suggestions as things came up in the field - absence of a preferred material or value engineering! All in all the process was a joy. We are very happy to have been introduced to Christian Rice Architects. Our home is comfortable and gracious. Not a trick was missed to maximize our wish list. We always felt respected and had absolute trust in his team. It was well deserved.

I've worked along side Christian and his team as a general contractor for over 2 years across 5 new custom home projects. My wife and I have done two projects with Christian. The first 16 years ago where we remodeled our house went so well that when we wanted to add more space to our home, there was no question who we would use. He listened to what we wanted and designed accordingly. We couldn't be happier..

Christian and his team helped us remodel a 1940s Coronado home into a modernized coastal home that works great for our family. We especially love the outside fireplace room near the pool - best place to relax and be inside/outside at the same time. It was easy to work with them throughout the entire process. As owners of a build/design company, when it came time to build our own personal home, we knew we wanted to work with the highly respected Christian Rice as our architect. We have worked with Christian now on four home projects… two our own personal residences and two spec builds. The entire process from design of the house to the build was effortless with Christian. He is a consummate professional. I strongly recommend him without reservation. Alterations to the house design was smoothly transitioned into the final plans by Christian. His creativity and insight into styles and design made for a beautiful house. He was on site to monitor ands supervise the build many times a week to make sure the details were just right. I really can't complement him enough... he is worth the wait if not immediately available.

I had to wait a few months for Christian Rice Architects due to their workload, but it was worth it. We lived in our small 2 bedroom 2 bath ranch house for 12 years and turned it into a 4 bedrooms 4 bath master piece thanks to Christian. After our initial meeting, the first design was a home run. Christian listened and incorporated all the things I asked for and a little more. Thereafter the process went smoothly and quickly. The permit was issued in a matter of weeks. As the design and drawings were well thought out and detailed, the construction process went smoothly, with very minor changes. All interactions with Christian and his team were professional, pleasant and productive. The contractors all sing Christian's praises, no small feat. Our home looked amazing but the functionality was even more impressive and such a pleasure to use. Christian has helped me with a smaller project of a rental unit with excellent results. His design made the unit brighter, more functional and beautiful. I highly recommend Christian Rice Architects.

We needed to take down all of the walls of our Coronado home . Christian made it all possible and the end product was perfect !! He was able to do what other architects could not . He was also very familiar with all of the city building codes and made the permitting process a breeze ! He is a joy to work with and since we all live in the same community, I feel like we made a new friend along with a beautiful new house !!
