I would highly recommend Christina! She is responsive and professional and has an amazing gift for seeing color. We had ideas for what colors to paint the interior of our home but could not differentiate between the thousands of choices. Christina found the perfect colors within our categories and offered one color option we never considered. That room is now our favorite color of all!

Christina is a total professional. Her method of correspondence is respectful and timely. Her communication is clear and imaginative. And her tools of the trade are up to date and very organized. I moved a year ago and sweated for months trying to choose colors to paint over the mustard yellow in about half of my 3900 square foot house. It didn't occur to me that some people - like me - just don't have the natural ability (or the education) to do this well. When a friend recommended Colorific, I thought it was a ridiculous luxury to pay someone to help. Now I feel it's the best money I ever spent. In three hours Christina came up with a gorgeous palette including accent walls and different colors for fireplace and built-in bench - subtle colors which are rich and make the house feel more bright and spacious and I am SO thrilled. Every day when I open my eyes in my master bedroom the first thing I look upon is a beautiful pale grey and I feel so peaceful! I'm extremely grateful and a great weight was taken off my shoulders. Will definitely use Christina again when I have saved up to do the other rooms. Also, she provides a folder with every bit of information you or the contractor will need to proceed including paint chips, name of paint, texture, what room, etc. Amazing!

Having past mishaps with paint color has taught me that a professional colorist is worth the investment!! Color possibilities are infinite with the slightest tweek changing the entire feel and look of a room. To me color is the most important element to decorating. We subconsciously respond to color. It can make us feel happy, sad, comfortable or generally disturbed. Because of all this I knew we needed a colorist to lay the foundation for us. After some research we found Christina at Colorific. She listens to your wants, wishes and considers your existing surroundings as well as any future plans. This project was for the entire house as well as a future guest house. Room by room was reviewed and discussed. Cool palette vs warm palette and everything in between! Before long we had a very detailed color scheme. “Detailed” means everything you or your painter needs to pull the project together. You receive a custom color map that spells out color, type (very important), location, samples etc. ……..mistakes or misunderstandings are non-existent. Christina not only proved to be a master at her craft she made it fun!!! A bonus while sitting in your new surroundings feeling the satisfaction of a job well done from beginning to end. Wish her trained eye and sense of perfection was available for every task in life!!!!

I cannot recommend Christina Harris with Colorific highly enough. We contacted her while doing a major remodel on a small California ranch house. We had already chosen some of the interior colors, as we were doing most of the house in white painted paneling. However, we definitely needed help with the exterior color, and we ended up also asking for colors on three of the interior rooms that did not have the white wood paneling. Christina knows her stuff. She knows color and paint types. She is approachable, dependable, prompt, excellent at follow-through and goes above and beyond answering questions. She even contacted a specialist at Benjamin Moore for us to answer some technical questions. Her methodology and presentation is excellent. She initially asked us many questions to determine what sort of style we wanted; then came up with 3-4 different color schemes for the house that we could choose from. She gave us a “color map” that showed exactly which color and sheen and type of paint to use on various parts of the house, eg. body color, window trim, eaves, etc. This is great to give the painter or contractor and leaves little room for confusion. And she included a little envelope with paint swatches on a key ring that I have carried with me everywhere when shopping for things for the house. If you need help with paint colors, I would not hesitate to use her service.

Christina was a life saver in helping us choose a color palate for the exterior of our new home! When we bought the home, the main wood siding was painted a reddish brown color and there was a brick solarium that went up the three stories of the house. We decided that instead of repainting the entire home, we would just stucco over the brick and then paint the stucco and also paint the trim as well as the window sills to break up the reddish brown color. We painted the stucco off-white, the interior trim a light tan color and the exterior trim a darker beige color and left the main siding the reddish brown. After a few months, we decided that we just could not live with the reddish brown color any longer. But, after spending a substantial amount of money to paint the trim of our house, we wanted to be able to retain the trim colors we had chosen. My husband and I asked our designer, artists and friends and tested about 8 different colors on the side panel of our house, but we just could not decide what color would match with everything else. To complicate matters, per Santa Barbara city regulations, because our house is visible on the side of a hill, the exterior needed to be painted an “earth tone” color without stark contrasts between the trim and the siding colors so that it would blend nicely into the hill. Finally, we decided to turn to a specialist and we found Christina on Houzz. Christina was exceptional – efficient, confident, reasonably priced and right on when it came to choosing our exterior colors. We called her on Tuesday and she was at our house on Friday. After taking a look inside our house to understand our style and aesthetic, she surveyed the exterior and presented a grey palate of colors. She choose a color and a finish/sheen for each of: (i) the main siding, (ii) to repaint the stucco (which we mentioned we were amenable to), (iii) for our retaining wall next to the house, (iv) for our front door and garage door and (v) for the metal fencing around our property. We would have never been able to choose these colors on our own, nor would we have known what finish/sheen should go on what materials (stucco vs. wood vs. metal) or that a slightly darker or light gray from the same palate would look better depending on the material and the location of the object being painted. Christina emailed a digital color map a couple days after she met with us and put a physical color map in the mail as soon as we told her that her color choices were approved by our architectural review board. She was also extremely available to us (while on vacation) for the many calls and emails we sent her with questions about whether to retain or paint various parts of the house – sills, eaves, trim, gutter, fascia, railings, etc. etc. She was also quick to provide diagrams (so we understood all these different parts of the house) as well as digital renderings of our house with the correct colors in the correct places. In the end, we couldn’t be more pleased with the exterior colors of our new home. It is such a dramatic improvement from what was previously there and Christina helped massively with what felt like a very challenging problem. We will use Christina again if we are in another color dilemma and would recommend her to anyone with one of their own.

My husband found Christina/Colorific through Houzz when we were just beginning our year long renovation on our 1912 Craftsman. We were stymied on the best way to choose a color palette that would keep with the character of our house, and contacted Christina, and we are so thankful we did! Because of her attention to detail and efforts to clearly understand what we liked and didn't like, choosing colors ended up being the easiest part of all the myriad of choices we needed to make. We are so pleased with how everything turned out, and have received numerous compliments. Our contractors and painters were also extremely impressed with the delivery of information that Christina provided- and have asked to add her information to their roster of vendors. I was looking to refreshen up the paint colors in a few rooms. i didn't want a design overhaul, so an interior designer didn't seem like the right fit. I came across Christina and Colorific on Houzz. After reading her profile and looking at her portfolio, it appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. Before meeting in person, we had a phone consultation and then Christina came to our house and spent about 2 hours with us talking about paint colors and the spectrum of paint. We made a decision on the colors we wanted to use and a few weeks later the rooms were complete. The colors turned out beautiful and everything looks spectacular with the furniture and art that we already had.

What an incredible find Christina was! For over two years, I was stymied as to how to re-paint almost all the rooms in my house. I would spend hours looking at paint chips and putting up samples. I can't speak highly enough for Christina. Choosing a color for a house exterior can be a daunting thing and my husband and I were reaching almost a state of paralysis in the process. That's when we found Colorific, and Christina, with her amazing knowledge of color. Our house, built in the 1960s, has a sufeit of textures in addition to quite a lot of brickwork. We really wanted to quiet down the texture overload and find a color that would work well with the brick color, but we didn't want to go with a traditional, too-safe color scheme. Christina came to our house and really listened to our concerns and wishes and gave us confidence that the colors we were leaning toward would work. Then she went off and created a number of color palettes for us to consider. We loved all of them, but there was one that really spoke to us and the finished product is absolutely gorgeous! Christina was available for any questions we had and gave us so much more confidence. We have had so many compliments from neighbors, friends and family, and it feels like coming home to a new house! Christina at Colorific is fantastic! She helped me choose exterior and interior paint colors for my 1911 two-story craftsman home that work with the craftsman period/style but are "fresh" (not gloomy or dreary). She paid special attention to how the colors worked with each other and transitioned from room to room.
