We at Connecticut Stone would like you to know how deeply concerned we are that you are unsatisfied with your experience with us. We are a company that takes great pride in the complete satisfaction of our many customers. We hear your frustration and understand that you were not completely satisfied with your experience with us and for this we are truly sorry.
That being said, your project was very unusual in that we were asked to remove your old counters and repurpose them into new pieces for your project. While we realize that you were the end user, our contract for this project was with your builder and as such, all communication regarding the project went through him. At CT Stone, we work very hard to manage client expectations and to be open and transparent. When a request was made for us to try and remove stains from your old kitchen island top, we reviewed the information with our team and immediately advised that this work would be best performed by a restoration group. We then provided a name and contact for a reputable on site restoration company. Unfortunately, this information was not communicated to you which resulted in unnecessary frustration.
With over 68 years in business, we believe that customer satisfaction is most important to our business. We take your feedback to heart. We remain committed to providing a level of customer service that exceeds our customer’s expectations and so we appreciate your feelings on this experience.

I would like to start with expressing our collective apologizes that your experience with Connecticut Stone was anything but stellar. We pride ourselves on our customer service and are displeased if we hear anything otherwise.

Regarding your particular experience, I have looked into it from each perspective – yours, ours and AKDO’s - and I believe I have a few answers for you. First, I would like to remind you that your order placed with us was in fact a special custom order. It is not a custom order to AKDO because it is AKDO’s product and they do not sell to the public, however, it is a custom order to Connecticut Stone because what you selected was not part of what we normally carry stock. In addition, it was also a rush - and our sales team gladly accommodated your rush to get you what you needed on time. Our policy of no custom returns was clearly stated on the agreement you signed, however, we will, this time take your return in an effort of our good faith, professionalism and in hopes of re-establishing your confidence in our team and our services.
