How often does one hear that renovation projects are tough because contractors are not showing up when they say they will? This couldn’t be farther from the truth with Crystal Kitchen and Bath (CKB), who recently completed a full remodel of our main and ensuite bathrooms. Project Manager Lisa and her crew of superb subcontractors arrived every day and completed the project exactly on schedule. Even talented in house designer Jennie visited on a regular basis, to make sure everything was being done as planned. In addition to Lisa and Jennie, CKB owner Jolynn stayed involved on a regular basis. The bathrooms look like upscale spas and are truly stunning! The tilework, counters, and cabinet design are unique and gorgeous. It’s hard to believe that they were able to make this amazing transformation from our dated 1980’s baths, which had seen better days. Best of all, the new baths will make it possible for us to” age in place”, with a no rise walk in shower and soaking tub that has beautiful grab bars that match the other hardware. You couldn’t find a more talented and ethical company to handle your home renovations. We highly recommend them!

I live in an urban loft and needed a kitchen and bathroom remodel. The bathroom had a stainless steel walk-in shower that was rusting and dangerous. The fixtures were old and the room was dark. The kitchen was even worse and practically non-functional. The footprint was crowded and there was no real counter space. Cabinets were shallow and shelving was not functional. I got four bids and decided to go with Crystal Kitchen and Bath. Amber, my designer, and the whole team were professional and proactive. With other bids, it was more of a sales pitch and less about finding a functional design that would work with my personal aesthetic and my budget. It can be a challenge to do a remodel in a multi-unit condo building in Downtown, but there was no problem we encountered that wasn't easily solved and, best part, the project manager took care of it! The entire team was skilled and professional and I encountered none of the subcontractor issues I experienced with an extensive renovation of my previous home. Highly recommend! I would use them again in a heartbeat if I had anything else to remodel.

We recently worked with Crystal Kitchen and Bath on a complete Kitchen remodel. Our kitchen had not been changed in the 26 years we’ve owned our house and we knew we needed an update. We requested bids from three different remodelers and felt most comfortable with Jolynn and her team at Crystal Kitchen and Bath. Our designer, Mary Maney, took the time to listen to our needs and wants and designed a kitchen that we just love. The initial cost estimates turned out to be very accurate as did their estimate of how long the job would take. The team of construction professionals showed up on time each day and gave us periodic construction updates. The communication we received throughout the construction process was outstanding. We even made a small change to the design mid-project and that was handled quickly and efficiently. We highly recommend Crystal Kitchen and Bath.

After attending a workshop at Crystal Kitchen and Bath on remodeling with aging in mind, I decided to contract with them to finish off our completely unfinished basement. Jolynn, the owner, and Jennifer, the designer, brought my vision of a wine bar/kitchenette, a ¾ bath with integrated handicap features, a sitting area for relaxing and watching TV, as well as a workshop and storage rooms, into fruition. It was designed with the intention that the space could be used for entertaining, relaxing with family, or a suite in which guests could stay. In the future, it could become a mother-in-law apartment or even an Air B & B. Working with Jolynn and every one of her workers was a pleasure. Jolynn is very organized! At the beginning I was given a schedule detailing the entire project. Everything went smoothly and, as they say, according to schedule. I always knew what to expect and when to expect it. Any problems that came up or any changes I requested were taken care of immediately. Communication with all of the people involved was excellent. Being someone who has been involved with a lot of construction work, I have an eye for quality workers and workmanship. That was exhibited in every way. I also have worked with contractors who didn’t listen, argued, didn’t communicate and caused more headaches than they solved. This project was the opposite of that. Now the lower level of our house is beautiful and I only have wonderful memories of the project and the people who worked on it. I highly recommend Crystal Kitchen and Bath if you’re looking for a quality, headache free, project.

I am sure there are some less expensive remodelers out there, but we got more than our money's worth. Crystal Kitchen & Bath was fantastic. They were communicative, timely and honestly the cleanest contractors we have every worked with. What I liked the most was that they focused on provided a quality experience within our budget. I never felt as if they were trying to get us to spend more than what we had budgeted and if there was a financial question or concern, it was addressed immediately. I also liked that Crystal Kitchen & Barth is a woman owned & led business!!!!

Start to finish, an absolutely wonderful experience working with CKB! We undertook a complete gut, reconfigure, and redesign of our kitchen/great room. Several friends and neighbors were skeptical about the timeline we were given for our project, as their personal experiences with OTHER contractors was a headache, to say the least: smaller-scale projects that ended up taking several months to complete, cost overruns, and other issues were common themes. CKB gave us a calendar upfront, with days clearly marked to indicate which contractors would be working and each of their jobs completed. The contractors CKB uses were all great people to work with as well, and they were CLEAN! We lived in our home during our remodel, and the amount of dust created from the work was minimal. Each day the workers did a great job of cleaning up the job site before they left (besides cleanliness, this is also a safety bonus, as we had a curious 4-year-old in the house). The owner, Jolynn, is very professional, ethical, honest and fair. Jennie, our designer, did an amazing job bringing our vision (or lack thereof) into reality, and designed a space that is as functional as it is beautiful. Lisa, the project manager, was great at addressing any concerns we voiced along the way, and obviously has great rapport with the work crews. We cannot say enough good things about CKB! Without a doubt we would recommend them to anyone looking for a remodeler, and won’t hesitate to use them again ourselves in the future. We love our new kitchen!

I chose Crystal Kitchen and Bath to remodel my old dreary bathroom and bedroom. Definitely needed to be completely updated. I worked with designer, Jennie, who is extremely talented and a good listener! We were able to complete the design plans in a month and schedule the project for a few months later. Total project took about 3 1/2 months which was amazing .... flawless from start to finish! Contractors were very pleasant and professional. As with any project there were a few hiccups but the CK&B team was quick to address any issues. I absolutely love my new bedroom and bathroom! Very luxurious ... I feel like I'm at a five star hotel! I highly recommend CK&B for any remodeling projects! Many thanks to the entire team for making my home Beautiful!

We had 3 of 4 bathrooms, circa early 1990s, that needed a refresh or a complete redo. We had used CKB years ago for a small project in the kitchen, so were familiar with the quality of their work, but not how they managed a project of this scope. We wanted all bathrooms done at simultaneously to save time and cost, despite the inconvenience to us living in a construction zone. We met with Jolynn and Jennie several times to discuss what we wanted, to complete a contract and determine a plan. We met again a few times during the selection and design process. Jolynn developed a plan, and despite supply chain issues and a few modifications resulting from unforeseen circumstances, the plan was executed on time and within budget, with any cost for changes clearly communicated up front. CKB's oversight of the project was excellent. The contractors were all top notch and respectful of our living space. The quality of work is outstanding. We are very pleased with everything and now have 3 beautiful bathrooms that greatly enhance the quality of our home. Thank you, CKB!

Crystal Kitchen + Bath transformed our mid-90s kitchen, mudroom, and half bath. The oak cabinets, green counters, and cramped mudroom had to go! From initial communication to final walk through, the team we worked with made the process as easy as it could be. Our designer, Mary, created a beautiful, functional space for our family. The project manager and contractors worked to keep construction on schedule and with an attention to detail that we appreciated. We were amazed that the calendar we were given before the project was followed down to the day! The only issues we had with the finish on the new wood floors and scratches on the island were handled quickly and professionally. If you want an experienced company that can deliver on your expectations, Crystal Kitchen + Bath is for you!

WOW! That is what everyone says when they see my new bathroom. CKB turned my 1950's bathroom into a work of art! Everyone was friendly, helpful and extremely professional. All I had to do was watch the amazing transformation. Highly recommend CKB for all remodeling needs.

In 1994 our 1963 built home was remodeled to expand our second level MBR/Bath area and our main floor Kitchen / family room area. The Master Bath included an angled entrance and a corner steam shower, a large jacuzzi tub which took up too much space and was underutilized. Despite the adequate space, the Bathroom felt cramped and poorly designed. A separate full bath upstairs had not been upgraded since 1987. The kitchen had outdated white laminate countertops. The appliances were in need of updating. We did love the kitchen layout and the cherry cabinetry; however, the very large appliance garage built for a counter MW and toaster needed to go. The scope of our project was to completely gut and remodel the Master and second full bath, and for the kitchen - install new quartz counter tops, farm style sink, remove the appliance garage and update with tile backsplash and appliances. When we decided to pursue our project, we were looking for a design/build company and noticed a nearby home that had a Crystal Kitchen & Baths sign on their lawn, so we gave CK&B a call. We were immediately impressed with their professionalism, ideas and established process from the get-go at our initial consultation meeting. CK&B has a tremendous process where the owner, Jolynn Johnson, and their assigned designer for our project, Jennie Hjerpe, listened to our current situation and what we would like to accomplish in our project as well as our planned budget. They then went to work designing several options for us to review with them in their office, and as projected on a large screen, where they are able to make design changes real-time. We were very excited with the various design ideas presented to us. We also spent time reviewing each of the material choices to help make our many project decisions. Once we decided upon the design layout and materials, Jolynn put together the project schedule. Other than a few changes made by us during the build process, the project schedule was adhered to throughout the timeframe, which we were very appreciative of due to the number of subs and disciplines involved in the project, as well as minimizing the kitchen and bath downtime. During the project there were frequent on-site reviews by the CK&B team to ensure the schedule and project was on track, and to discuss any questions. The subs on our project were highly skilled, friendly and very courteous and respectful of our home. This was a very large project and CK&B made it as easy and seamless as possible for us. Their design suggestions were creative and very helpful to reaching our final decisions. We were amazed at how CK&B was able to navigate a tight schedule to complete the project on-time. We have also been very impressed with the post project follow-up provided by CK&B. We love our completed project and are very proud to share it with family and friends – many thanks to the CK&B Team and their Contractors, all of whom we would highly recommend.
