Only use this company if you want the best job you could get for a fair price and on time performance. David took a really sub-par open staircase and transformed it into a project we could not be happier with. It's pretty amazing what he does with his knowledge and skills. We really got lucky having David re-build our stairs.

Dave was great to work with he helped with how to bring the idea of what my customer wanted an what would look good in the stair area we had to work with. He is an excellent craftsmen in a time when that is getting harder to find. I would recommend him to anyone as well I know I will be using him in the future. We had an excellent experience with David at Columbia Stairs. We were looking for a non-traditional replacement for our main staircase and contacted four companies. David at Columbia Stairs got back with us promptly and was willing to take on a non-traditional, complicated staircase that others were not willing to do. David was prompt, the pricing was affordable, and he was able to complete the project within our accelerated timeframe. He followed up according to the time frames that he gave us and was quick to communicate any necessary changes. David was able to locate and obtain the specialty wood we wanted, connected us with additional professionals to complete the staining, and was highly professional throughout the project. He ensured the area was picked up and clean each day when he was done, and he coordinated with suppliers for the materials so that he was able to inspect materials before they were delivered. David also had to deal with one particular supplier who continually provided either defective or incorrect materials. He eventually had to adjust his design to accommodate the incorrect material piece, which shows he is a master craftsman who we would highly recommend

After 30 years and 3 children sliding down staircase, everything was loose. David replaced all balusters and newels so we basically have a new staircase that is now up to code. David was prompt, professional, and does great work! Highly recommend Columbia Stair, Inc.

Working with Columbia Stairs to have my new steps installed with newels, blasters and rails was a positive experience. It is a quality product that is trimmed out nicely! All questions were answered with examples which helped with knowing the outcome. Make sure the wood that you select has many samples of stain for you to select the correct color. The scheduling was easy and trustworthy. The step are still young but other contractors have the step building as they visited and said it was a professional job.

CSI installed a full stair case and balcony railing for us in our new home. They also installed about 100 linear foot of solid wood wainscoting. Dave is very easy to work with - he provided a mock-up for the wainscoting in full detail which enabled us to picture the final results. He is very detailed - excellent craftsmanship. When our project was ready for him to come in and install the stair case and wainscoting he was very efficient which enabled us to keep our project on schedule. We would certainly work with him in the future and would highly recommend him

Dave with Columbia Stair always returned my calls, emails, and texts. He came when he was scheduled and worked efficiently. He addressed all the concerns I had and did a very nice job. The job we hired him for was replacing our wooden spindles with black iron ones. It was a difficult task because of the shape of our staircase. He did a good job.
