I recently had Kyle's Wood Tourch Up And Repair help me with my aging kitchen cupboards. The job was more complicated than expected but he worked at it with good cheer, even though it was 35 degrees. I found Dave to be polite, professional and prompt. He gave me some good advice about where to buy hard to find hardware and even left me some screws. Thanks Dave. Dave and Ann did a meticulous job repairing and touching-up our bedroom suite that was damaged in a move. It looks brand new! They were also friendly, professional, competent, and showed up when they said they would. Altogether a great experience working with them.

Dave and Anne recently completed a major repair on our primary staircase. We couldn't be more pleased with the finished product. Some background - We purchased our Mount Royal home in 2021 (originally built in 1993) and one of the first renovations that we completed was replacing all of the hardwood floors throughout the entire house (including the treads and risers on the primary staircase). We engaged a reputable hardwood floor company in Calgary, Alberta to install the hardwood, and was advised at the time that in order to have the stair treads match the flooring, it was necessary to remove the entire wooden handrail, including the posts and spindles. We were also told that after the install was complete, and the handrail was reassembled , that we would just need a painter to do some touch-ups on the railing and surrounding drywall. Well - our handrail was absolutely DESTROYED in the process and we needed much, much more than a painter. Coincidently, we received Dave's flyer in the mailbox in and around the same time and called him to see if he could assist. He agreed to take on this challenging project, and we are so happy that he did. Not only did he patch, repair and colour match all blemishes on the staircase and railing, he was also able strip, re-stain, and lacquer the railing to match the new hardwood floors. These guys nailed it! A couple of comments: - The workmanship was top notch. These guys are very good at what they do (ask to see before/after pics of this project - amazing). - We had called a reputable commercial painting outfit concurrently with Dave, and note that both quotes were almost identical (Dave's being slightly lower). We selected Dave because he was confident that he could fix our staircase, where the painting company showed some hesitation and reluctance. - We were home for part of the project and they were respectful of our space and kept noise down when our baby was napping. - They cleaned and vacuumed after the end of each day. Dust was kept to a minimum. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and will definitely use them again to do further repair work to some of our cabinetry in the house.

Kyle attempted to repair a table corner that had some damage. After lots of big talk of piano finish and perfection, we hired him for the repair. The color is way off and the repair itself isn’t great. This looks like an amateur repair.

Excellent work! I hired Dave and Ann to touch up my kitchen cabinets and island prior to listing my home. Dave also adjusted my cabinet doors and drawers to eliminate wear points and did some caulking that original cabinet installer did not do. The kitchen looked brand new when they were done. I highly recommend Dave and Ann if you are looking for a quality job!

Dave and Anne rescued our renovation. They came in and repairs our poor bathroom and kitchen cabinets. The bathroom cabinets have now been re-enfored and are no longer pulling away from the wall. The kitchen cabinets where replaced and are beautiful. Not only do they match the existing cabinets but are of definite better quality. The grain of the cabinets matches all around the cabinets and are mounted correctly so the can hold the weight During the construction Dave and did an great job of communicating and reasurring use of timing and costs. They also provided complete documentation we are sending to the previous contactor. We will definitely be getting them back to complete some wood work for our refridgerator ( when it arrives ) and other work !

Dave helped me with some significant touch up work around my home and I am extremely pleased with how everything has turned out! As a higher end home, the woodwork and trim are a key element of the design and look & feel and it really feels refreshed and like-new. I don't know how how he does some of his magic but broken/worn corners, major dings/scratches and even whole surfaces look practically brand new. He also redid my front entry door / wooden garage doors and they look fantastic and are now protected for years. Lastly I just want to comment on how professional Dave is to work with. He's always clear about scope of work and price estimates up front and there were never any surprises. When he uncovered any issues with fit/finish/function of some of my existing cabinets/doors etc. that might cause an issue with touchups or leave a sub standard result, he always had a few suggestions on how to do the job right without too much hit to my budget. I took him up on a few key suggestions and I'm glad I did. He's a pro. Thanks Dave. (Sept. 2021)

Amazing work done, second time I work with Dave and yet again, I'm just thrilled. The touch ups are amazing, even though just small things all around the house he didn't care if it was only a small project. I strongly recommend him, and I will use him again and again.

First time dealing with Kyle and I just wanna say that he did an amazing job . He spent extra 40 minutes on our table and he didn’t charge us so I am very happy about that . I will definitely contact him again in the future.

WOW. AMAZING. Kyle's Wood came and refinished all of the wood work throughout our home (an immense amount of wood) as well as our dining room table, chairs, and dresser and hutch. We have never had any guests that have not commented on the work of both. We are very proud to have his masterful work in our home and cannot say enough about their work ethic, skill and commitment to delivering top notch work. My sister in law who is an interior designer says she had never seen such detailed and excellent work in any of the companies that she had formerly been using. They were efficient, friendly and deliver every job on time on budget and outstanding. Whenever we find a new piece for our home we always know we can count on them to customize it to match our decor.
