Ellene's design expertise truly shone through in the intelligent layout of our kitchen. The cabinet arrangement is perfect, maximizing both space and functionality. We are absolutely thrilled with our cabinets! The quality is outstanding, and the color is beautiful. Every detail has been meticulously crafted, right down to the smooth operation of the drawers. We were thrilled with our experience with Ellene Newman! She did a fantastic job planning our kitchen and the beautiful outcome is to her credit. Even our contractor told us that she is top at getting the best use out of every inch of space, and he was so right! She was extremely available throughout the whole process, and really held our hand through it. She guided us to great sources for materials, and came with us to several places to help us choose. She is passionate about what she does, puts heart and soul into her work and is extremely honest and upright. We recommend her in the highest terms!

Ellene made our kitchen renovation a pleasure. She designed an expanded kitchen for us, updating from a 1980s kitchen/eat-in area. This was part of a larger build out of our house. Ellene was always extremely responsive by email and stayed in touch with us during the year long build. We had several delays due to building supplies, but this never impacted her support of our project. We had an initial design before we met Ellene, but it needed significant improvements. Ellene began by visiting our home and listening to how we utilized the kitchen. She really understood the cabinets she was working with, with a huge benefit being that they could be customized to the 1/8". She evaluated our pantry needs and suggested extra space to be dedicated to pantry needs, cleverly using the island area to gain some additional space for this purpose. Despite our concerns that things might seem a little cramped, the final design is very spacious and she was confident all along that this would be the case. Early on in the process, Ellene took us to another of her clients to look at the cabinet quality and overall design aspects. This was hugely valuable. We were sure that the cabinets we going to be far superior to the ones sourced from the local kitchen design stores, and still remain very price competitive. She suggested the sink be sent to the cabinet manufacturer to ensure an accurate fit. This was an excellent decision. We also sent our custom paint color selection so we could review a sample of the color on a section of cabinet. During the build we encountered a few changes that needed to be made, and in each case she reconfigured the redesign with us, and came up with ideas to best utilize the space. She was also available either on-site or by phone to assist the builders in case they had any questions or problems. We cannot speak highly enough of the design and support that Ellene provided. She made the process easy and we ended up with a kitchen we absolutely love.

Anyone that has renovated a kitchen knows how difficult it can be to get it done right. Ellene at Design 613 is so knowledgeable and meticulous with details that she really leaves little room for error. Ellene spent hours with my wife designing our kitchen and the outcome is amazing. Without being asked, Ellene even created the layout of our master bedroom so we could be assured that our furniture would fit properly. Give Design 613 a try and I am certain that you will be thrilled with the quality of service and the dedication demonstrated until you ultimately have a completed beautiful kitchen.

l could not have asked for better service for both my kitchen and basement. Mrs. Newman is so amazing with working within an existing space and utilizing every inch to create an optimal finished product. She was readily available to help throught the process, answer all questions, and make revisions to the plans when we decided to make some changes. At the start of the project, she really took the time to discuss our plans with us, and notice different things within the room that could present a challenge (such as a narrow back entrance into our kitchen that needed special end-angle cabinets around it so as not to close in a walk-through area). Hiring Ellene was one of the best decisions we made when designing our new home. Not only did she provide us with the highest level of customer service and attention, her ideas were extremely creative and resulted in some of the best used spaces in our kitchen area. She also went above and beyond making sure that everything was done correctly throughout the construction process. We worked with Ellene for over a year and, at all stages of our project, she was happy to give constructive feedback and input on a variety of design questions. Her design turned cramped space in a bathroom that was highly functional and aesthetically pleasing. Where others might have approached the problem piecemeal, she planned for the whole and we are delighted with the result.

We remodeled our basement. Elene came and discussed the plans and how we intended on using the space, so that we can maximize our usage. She then drew up the plans which were super precise, we also got the 3D sketch that allowed us to visualize the project and make any changes accordingly. We are very happy and highly recommend her work!

The opportunity to design our own kitchen came with overwhelming possibilities. Ellene helped us navigate all the options, and created a kitchen design that we love! With great attention to detail, she made sure every inch of space we had to work with was utilized. We were so happy with the results, we are already working with Ellene on a new project!
