Jen and Jimmy were wonderful to work with for our backyard remodel. We have used them for several projects and they always deliver quality results. We are super thrilled with how our patio and backyard landscaping turned out!

We had a great experience with Design Works! We contacted at least half a dozen companies for some landscaping/planting we needed for our yard. Design works was the only company to get back to us and take on the project. Much appreciated since I'm sure our project wasn't the most lucrative for them but they never made us feel like it wasn't. It was a three day project with 2 separate teams (one team for excavating and stone and another for mulch and plantings) Both teams were courteous, respectful, and did a great job! I would highly recommend them and use them again! We love our new landscaping! Thank you!

After purchasing our new home we wanted to add some curb appeal and formality to the front of our home over and above what the builder put in. Talking to several landscapers in the area we saw more of the same and nothing that would make our new home stand out from the rest - only adding to what was already installed. We then contacted Design Works and worked with them to design a plan that not only looks fantastic but adds the individuality we were looking for. They installed over one-hundred plants and shrubs which bloom at various times – bringing color to the front of our home almost year round. Additionally they installed up lighting which adds visual substance at night. Overall we are extremely pleased with the work and design Design Works has completed for us thus far and look forward to working with them again next year as we continue to add additional landscaping around our home. I would highly recommend them for any landscape design work you are looking to have done around your property.

My husband and I hired Jim to project manage our backyard renovation/pool project. He went above and beyond to exceed our needs and successfully incorporated all of our hopes and dreams into an amazing entertainment area. Jim and Jennifer helped us transform our backyard into a vacation getaway. We took on a pool installation in early May, and had no real vision for our yard. After researching several design/build companies, we decided to contact Design Works. They were extremely polite, professional, attentive, and full of ideas from the initial consultation. After explaining the scope of our project and where we needed them, they helped us develop a design concept, and from there they worked with us on what aspects we needed them to build and which we were subcontracting out. Even for the parts of the build that they were not responsible for, such as the actual pool install, the pool decking and the fence work, Jim still made sure to provide exact measurements for the other contractors so that everything fit into the original design. Design Works built a large patio area and sunken fire pit, as well as handled all the grading and landscape work, including lighting, for the project. Their foreman Adam did an amazing job on the patio/fire-pit area, and was super easy to work with. Their knowledge and expertise of hard-scape installs really shows in the attention to detail. Everything is designed to not only look amazing, but also function properly. The way they grade the patio to channel water off of it, while still having that visual appeal that makes people say "wow" when they see it, is what sets these guys apart from the run of the mill landscape company. I really cannot say enough good things about this team and the experience we had with them. They were always available to address any concerns we had along the way. We were pretty nervous going into this, as it was a big project for us, but working with the team at Design Works, made this entire project flow pretty seamlessly. We will definitely be working with them again in the future on some additional projects.

I really like this company! Jen has worked on two projects at our house, and both have been taken care of in a professional manner. There is regular interaction between Jen and me regarding proposed plans and scheduling. Our most recent project (planning and installing perennials around our renovated waterfall) was supposed to be fill work for Design Works, but Jen and her associate showed up yesterday with the plants and within two hours the whole job was done...her plantings look wonderful now, so I can't wait for next spring when I can see everything in bloom. The difference is magical. Besides admiring Jen's work ethic, I find her to be very down to earth and enjoyable to have around. I wish we had some massive project coming up because it would be great to see what other wonderful results we can have. Hmmm... Anyway, I recommend this company without hesitation and do it happily!

Jim does excellent work! He has great design ideas and he improved the looks and functionality of our back yard immensely. Jim will work within your budget. Tell him what you want and how much you want to spend and he'll come up with a plan that will WOW you. After he's completed the project, he'll WOW you even more! He built us a beautiful patio with a sitting wall and night-scaping. He also created a beautiful Zen garden for us. His work is just great!!

I recently used Design Works to reconfigure my backyard patio and pool area. They did a wonderful job providing a design for this new space. They did more than just lay a patio they essentially created a peaceful oasis. They did new landscaping behind the pool area, redid the waterfall that goes into the pool, created a new patio layout as well as replaced the front and back walkways to match the new patio design. Everyone at Design works was professional and informative. Most importantly, the work was completed in a very reasonable amount of time. I am very pleased with the outcome of this project and wouldn't hesitate to use Design works for any future projects.

Design Works completed a patio project in our back yard this summer and we couldn't be happier with the experience from start to finish. Jim and Jennifer were very responsive to questions we had and really helped design a space that fit our needs. The crew was very professional and the quality of work was outstanding. We look forward to having Design Works back in the near future for another project!
