Eco was recommended to me by a family member who used them several years ago. Our landscape project with Eco began mid-January, 2023, and was completed in April. It was front and backyard, driveway, pool deck, concrete walkways, retaining wall, exterior lighting, plants, and irrigation.....Eco did what they promised, when they promised; and in the design phase, when we needed some of the projected cost shaved off, Barry had creative ideas so we could still get what we wanted. Every person that we worked with, from the design team and finance person, to the project manager—and especially the laborers, who we had the most contact with (I was actually a little sad to see them leave on the last day of the project)—were responsive and respectful and eager to please. There were no unexpected delays or costs. I had never hired a company for so large a project before and I wasn't confident that I knew all the right questions to ask. I appreciated that my questions were always answered in a timely manner and that I received guidance where needed.

Job was overall good. They redid our kitchen cabinets, flooring, appliances, and opened up our area. They were good with communication.

When we decided to landscape our front and backyard, we had a plan that was quickly shot down by multiple companies who had come to give us estimates. We even had one company say they didn't want the job. These misses led us to EcoMinded Solutions and Todd. From the start, Todd saw our vision for a Palm Springs-like oasis and made it come to life through his additional designs and renderings. Todd came out to our house multiple times to walk through our yard to make sure the design was exactly what we wanted. Working with Todd gave us the confidence to sign a contract with Eco to complete the work. We have all had situations where contractors and workers show up randomly and don't follow the plan. That was never our experience with Eco. Working from home during this process allowed us to see for ourselves what a dedicated team Eco has. Felipe and his son, Jonathan, were amazing. They were at our house every day by 7 am and worked so hard to make our dream yard a reality. Our project manager, Dave, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to making changes during the build process. He was able to recommend the perfect alternate materials that fit our design and budget. Dave also made us feel like Eco VIPs by coming by for scheduled weekly meetings and he was always a phone call or a text away when we had questions or concerns. The dedication to our project did not stop immediately upon completion. Dave stopped by a few more times to make sure the build and design had lived up to Eco's high-quality standards. We have had endless compliments and neighbors we don't even know stop and stare while they are on walks down our street. Our 95 year old neighbors insist we have the most beautiful yard in town and we agree.

This was my second experience working with EcoMinded and I can't recommend them enough. In my most recent project, I redid the kitchen and only bathroom in my 100+ year old house. The team came up with a design that made the space feel so much bigger, and the construction team was fantastic to work with during the course of the project. EcoMinded has great attention to detail, and everyone on the team is responsive and will go the extra mile to make sure that their customer is happy with the finished product. I am grateful that I chose EcoMinded for this project and would make the same decision over and over again!

We worked with Eco Minded Solutions for the complete design and build of our home. We had an old cottage style house that we built into a truly custom mid-mod home that we are now very happy with and really enjoying. The old part of the house had to be torn down, the foundation fortified and footprint expanded as we added our second story master suite with an outdoor space. Eco Minded Solutions worked on the design from architecture to interior design and for the entire construction project. Their attention to detail and flexibility with materials and design helped us realize the vision we had and allowed us to achieve it within our budgetary goals. I can't say enough about the end product - it was everything we ever dreamed of and more. I highly recommend them for any scale project. Once that was completed, we worked with the landscaping devision to redo our outdoor spaces transforming them into a truly usable and beautiful areas that matched our home perfectly.

I recently bought my first home, a small spanish style place in North Park, that required some new landscaping (think 2,500 sq ft lot). It was tricky to find the right company to help because of the tight space and total revamp goal my wife and I wanted to achieve. Lucky for me, I found Eco Minded. The design team was prompt, and came with thoughtful imagination and sound recommendations to make the most out of the space. That, coupled with the fact that they work end to end with the construction team handling everything (eg finding the right vendors for Spanish accent tiles outside) including the demo, hardscape, and landscape. From beginning to end, the entire crew took their time to answer our questions, were patient and helpful when we encountered a challenge and made the whole process fun. I couldn’t be happier.

Eco Minded Solutions helped us with a challenging design and construction job for our back yard remodel and we are thrilled with the results. They transformed a tight space that was barely useable, giving us 50% more area and a much better outdoor area for entertaining and hanging out with the family. The result is beautiful and functional. We are thrilled.

I thought I won the lottery when I hired Eco Minded Solutions In March 2021 after meeting and getting estimates from 3 other landscapers. Mike Turner, their project manager, was a delight to work with and he really worked exhaustively to capture the vision I had for my front, side and backyards. He worked for several months on developing the landscaping plans and I worked for several months getting the outside of my house painted, plants removed and getting my property ready for its new look. The time spent on all of this prep work was four (4) months-March through Mid-July. Mike told me I would be placed on the que and we would be starting the project mid August. Mid August turns to beginning of September. Beginning of September comes and goes- I have 3 revised landscaping plans, but project "still has not started"- SIX months later. Emailed the owner asking him when will Eco Minded be starting my landscaping project? He gave me a date of mid or end of November. I told him after 6 months this was unacceptable that he was going to start my project during the holidays. He told me he would see if he could get me in earlier. He claims he couldn't. I said he needed to get me in sooner or we will need to move forward. After all the time, money and hours both his project manager and I spent together putting this together, he dropped me like a HOT POTATO! So now I am left with incredible landscaping plans, no work started, and a now a front, side and backyards almost devoid of plants Suggestions: If you plan to hire Eco Minded, be sure- on day one- to get a signed and dated timeline (signed by both you and Eco-Minded as to the start and end of your project. My mistake was liking how well the project manager and I got along in developing my landscaping vision, I didn't spend the time to get, in writing, my project's starting and ending dates. Don't be their next HOT POTATO! Get the timeline in writing. I didn't and now I have to start all over again with another company. Believe me I will not make this mistake a second time. As good as they may be (I won't fully know since they dumped my project), if it's not in writing, you will wind up as I did- down the abysmal drain/ seven months of wasted hopes, plans and time.

We bought a house in Otay Ranch two years ago and the whole house inside and outside was outdated and poorly maintained. All of the bathrooms and the kitchen in the home were poorly maintained and were in desperate need of an upgrade. After interviewing a few different Design Build firms we went with Eco Minded Solutions. Their designs were the most impressive and they clearly had the most relevant experience. The ere only the only company that does architecture and landscape all under one roof. The kitchen makeover, new facade of the house and the 4 remodeled bathrooms fully exceeded our expectations. We now spend most late afternoons outside enjoying our new outdoor living spaces. It's exceptional for both relaxing and entertaining. The bathrooms make the home feel new and refreshed. The kitchen is warm and welcoming. Most importantly the project was completed on time and within our budget with no surprises. The crew was polite and respectful. I would highly recommend Eco Minded Solutions!

I am thrilled with how my yard turned out. Ecominded Solutions turned my vision into reality and I honestly couldn’t be happier. From the beginning Todd, the designer, was super responsive and helpful. He listened to everything I wanted and continued to make changes to the plans until they were perfect. I’m very particular and he never got frustrated with me and was always happy to revise the plans until I was satisfied. I haven’t done a project like this before, but Todd made it a fairly easy experience. When it came time for construction, the guys were on time, worked hard, and kept things on track. All of it was overseen by one of the owners of the company, Dave, who also wanted to make sure that I was satisfied with the job. When there were mistakes or miscommunications or even just things that didn’t look right, which I knew invariably would happen, they fixed them. Todd stayed involved during this time and continued to make sure that things were running smoothly which I thought was very helpful. One other bonus is that they work with a lot of excellent vendors who they had me work with directly. Some of the vendors gave me discounts because I worked with EMS. EMS could have easily been the middle man and profited off of my orders with these other companies themselves, but instead they tried to make my money go as far as possible and stay within my budget.

We are absolutely pleased with how Eco Minded Solutions transformed our entire front yard. They always made themselves available to communicate with us about the project from start to finish. We shared with them our ideas, they created an amazing design & together we collaborated on a final plan. We are extremely happy with the final results.

We recently hired Eco Minded Solutions to remodel and upgrade our backyard. We hired their team because of their "eco minded" approach to landscaping and designing of backyards that was not only drought tolerant, but also comprised of attractive native landscape. They were also able to design hardscape, including a stairway and deck which added utilization to our otherwise unusable backyard hillside. Their team was timely, professional and transparent in their scope of work. Even in the few instances when we had questions or concerns, the owner made a special effort to personally address any open items so that the end product matched up with our vision. We now have a beautiful backyard that we can enjoy and actually utilize!
