I am an interior designer and have had the tremendous honor and pleasure of partnering with Eva on several projects. Her professional demeanor is incredible and her knowledge of landscape design is beyond compare. Her aesthetic is always classic, elegant and spot on with the latest trends. I have been such a big fan that I hired her to design the gardens in my Brentwood home. I would highly recommend Eva and her team without hesitation!

Had Eva and her crew do our front and side yards last summer. Draught tolerant landscaping and plants, beautiful mature olive trees, a new patio and vegetable garden and with new drip irrigation... She did it all. We and all our neighbors and visitors have been completely blown away by the transformation. Looking forward to seeing what she can do with the backyard.

I hired Eva to do a small patio area. I spoke with her on the phone and told her that I liked the photos of the Mediterranean garden she claims to have done which appear on this site. She never personally reviewed the project, instead she sent her young assistant who took a couple of photos but no measurements. The assistant told me that Eva, who is a self taught gardener (although she does claim to be a member of a professional landscape design organization on this site), was doing the "design". The result was terrible. I received old, diseased plants (see photo); plants which are not appropriate for my location/zone and as a result, are burning up in the mid day sun, plants which need dry soil planted under moisture loving plants. What's worse, I contacted Eva on numerous occasions, phone, email, text...NO response. So, I hired a certified/degreed landscape designer, who also informed that in addition to the aforesaid, the plants/locations were "completely inappropriate" zone and/or area. For example, I have a small 7ft'x20inch planting bed under a low window next to my home, she planted 3 Oak leaf Hydrangeas, 2 Daniella Tasmanica and 5 coral bells in that planter. I am told that the Hydrangeas get 12'x12ft tall each and the Tasmanica get 3'x3ft' each. Forget about the coral bells, you can't even see them under these large plants. The roses she installed (see photo for an example) are all diseased and dying and according to my new landscaper, appear to be years old; one wonders whether they were pulled from another job... He could not identify them and the tag on them simply says "heirloom"... Eva refused or could not identify them either, although I did ask several times via email and text.

Eva was hired to modify our home landscape, replacing the lawn with drought-tolerant landscape. We are very pleased with the finished work which included a variety of desert plants, grasses and trees - all of which are being watered through water-saving drip irrigation. Although the work was done earlier this year, the new landscape continues to delight and surprise as the plants grow and bloom, and as the garden develops all on its own. Eva also talked me out of installing a 3-ton concrete fountain that featured a statue of a naked man. And I am eternally grateful for her guidance.

Eva is amazing & she takes a personal interest in her clients & there happiness. She is a visionary & helps facilitate all aspects of the project to achieve exactly what the vision is. She definitely has a gift & is just plain NICE, to boot! She will make your property stand out in the neighborhood…;-)

Eva and her team are the BEST. We had a project that was on time, on budget, and with a FABULOUS result. We love and enjoy our backyard everyday. We could not be happier. It was a great collaborative process with an artistic result that met all our wants and needs. Eva instinctively knew when to offer ideas, advice, and expertise. She cleverly used elements that we already had in our yard to help make the project more affordable without sacrificing any of the results. Together we created a custom arbor complete with grape vines provides a shady covering for our outdoor dining area. Her team of professionals made the project a pleasure. To top it off, when we had a bit of a problem with the fence that was installed and it was handled beautifully. There was no argument; no discussion; the fence was re-engineered with a perfect result. This occurred even after we had paid for the project in its entirety. Way to go Eva!

Eva Knoppel has been a Landscape Designer for probably going on 20 years or more now. She has a great eye for innovative garden design and an indepth knowledge of the plant world. When I first met her she had a booth at the Hollywood Farmer's Market and displayed California natives and mediterreanean species for sale along with her growing business services. She also owned a great nursery with all types of unique plants for the southern california clime. She is now an in demand landscape design specialist and it is a pleasure working with her. I highly recommend her for all types of landscape jobs be they small or large properties.

I photographed Garden of Eva's beautiful landscape design work for her at several of her clients' properties. At this gated Encino estate, I shot from the street, the front motorcourt / front yard, and the backyard, which is an entertainer's delight! Eva found just the right balance of having a focal point, and pieces of interest at every turn, without being overdone or too cluttered. Every little detail was perfectly planned and situated. This project was a pleasure to shoot because it was very easy to find gorgeous compositions and angles at every turn.

Eva helped with the overall design and did all the plant selection and planting - all the individual plants were of the highest quality. Her team redid the sprinkler system and added lines and sprinkler heads so that the lawn, bushes and small plants all got the appropriate amounts of water. Very little has been adjusted even though the plants have grown (a lot) in this past year. We have continued to have Eva by for minor adjustments to the work.

Eva was not only wonderful to work with; she was able to interpret my vision of what I wanted my landscaping to look like. Her crew was very knowledgeable and accommodating. I highly recommend this company.

Eva was the fourth or fifth landscape designer we interviewed in 2007. We found her on line. She came to look at our project, a desert landscape with drip irrigation from a lawn that was not in very good shape. Now, this is why we still have a relationship with Eva. She listened to what we wanted, she was respectful of the budget level se set, and installed a beautiful landscape within that budget. Eva didn’t try to convince us to go higher. From the beginning of our relationship, if anything needs fixing, it is done promptly. Since 2007 we have called Eva back to refresh the plants and clean out the leaves and do planting in our back yard. Our front is the nicest desert scape I've seen. It never looks over grown and neighbors still stop and tell us how lovely it looks. Whenever we have a garden project we call Eva first, she is a great designer, reliable, fair and always listens.

Eva is truly amazing! Her knowledge and love for what she does makes every project one of her best. She has many brilliant ideas and designs that fit everyone's needs and wants. I have the privilege of working with her on a regular basis and supply her with the best plant material available. I highly recommend Garden of Eva for your landscape projects. Eva has a wonderful eye but maybe even more importantly, she and all those that are associated with Eva Landscape are easy to communicate with, on time and a pleasure to work with. She is a straight shooter and follows through.
