After a career of 24 years in Fortune 500 companies, I decided it was time to pursue my dream of owning my own small business. I opened the doors of Floor Coverings International of Central Kentucky on January 2nd, 2007. Going into a home improvement business felt good as I knew I could help people with what many perceive as a daunting task (i.e. replacing their flooring). Our goal was then and has been ever since to offer a higher level of customer service. We realized early-on that most people don't purchase flooring very often and they may need a bit of education to make the best decision on which floor is best for them. Because we sell and install all types of flooring (residential and commercial, carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl planks and sheet, ceramic and porcelain tile, etc.), we can engage with our clients without a bias toward one type of flooring over another. We try to understand the unique and individual circumstances that every client has and then find the best floor for that situation. Only then, will the client become a "customer for life".
