I was looking for a General Contractor in the Bakersfield area for a fix and flip project I had recently acquired being from San Diego I was searching on Houzz for someone that looked to be qualified and properly vetted. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great contact so quickly with all the right attributes. I found Gary Rush Construction Company to be on time, highly skilled, professional, fast, and competitively priced. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to do some skilled work around the house.

Just 16 months after Gary finished our beautiful remodel, our house flooded! The damage affected the newly remodeled kids' bathroom, hallways, and family room, as well as both kids' bedrooms, master bedroom, master bathroom, and master walk-in closet. I texted Gary the next day, devastated that our brand new floors were ruined. He immediately called me and reassured me that he would make sure everything would be taken care of. We had to wait for the house to be dried out for 5 days, and for the insurance adjuster to tell us what needed to be fixed. Once we knew that, Gary was off and running. I had to pick flooring for the bedrooms and master bath because they had not been remodeled before, but everything else we were just going to restore back to how he had done it before. Floor guys took two days, baseboards one day, then painting all the rooms and baseboards took three. The amazing thing is his painter even worked on Thanksgiving to finish up the job. Gary then sent his own son the day after Thanksgiving to rebuild bed frames and move in the big stuff. Gary's number one goal was to get us back home as soon as possible, but without cutting corners, giving us the same high quality work. Gary's integrity for a job well done is outstanding! Gary was a true blessing in our time of need, and I am forever grateful.

Gary did an excellent rehab! I don’t want to share any more details because the best contractors should be kept a secret . . . but that would be selfish, so: -Gary takes pride in his work, which means his own internal sense of satisfaction and dignity is all that is needed to keep him on task and on time -he happily goes the extra mile. Several times he did extra projects, got creative with things that I wouldn’t have thought of which added value to the home, etc., all at no additional charge. He even offered to be available to show the home to potential renters since I live too far away. -the price was fair -the work was done fast and done well because he had a large, solid crew there together working steadily throughout the timeframe of the project -Gary regularly communicated with me throughout the project, asked my opinion, made suggestions, sent pictures, and so on, since I was two hours away

Our bathroom had a flood and required immediate attention. Gary was on it with a crew out to demo and a bath re-do that was finished in one week. His crew was professional, his response time is quick and I was very happy with his efforts to work within my budget and needs to accomplish the task. Awesome job, Gary! Thanks.

I used Gary Rush Construction to remodel our bathroom. We also had our flooring our kitchen, dining room. New paint was applied in our kitchen as well as the exterior of our home. I am very pleased with the work that was done. I am pleased with Gary's professionalism as well as that of anyone associated with his business. I was always fully informed as to what work was scheduled to be performed. Any question or concern that I had were dealt with quickly, with honesty and integrity. There were no issues meeting our budget, as we had refinanced our home to make needed repairs. My family and I felt safe and comfortable at all times, which is very important to me when any kind of work is done in or around my home. Not all of our experiences with home repairs have been as positive as what we experienced with his team.

Kitchen Remidel: Gary Rush helped me make product decisions and had design suggestions that enabled me to stay within my budget while still gaining the overall look I was attempting to achieve. I am most impressed with how quickly Gary and his team completed the projects in our home. We have friends who remodeled their kitchen at the same time with another contractor and their project took more than double the time. Gary and his workers were friendly, efficient, careful, and hard working. Gary promptly returned phone calls, communicated my concerns and requests well to his team, and made sure that his work was not done until we were completely satisfied.

Gary is about to embark on his third job for me. He is an excellent resource who is willing to go the extra mile to be sure the customer is satisfied. Work has been done when he says it will be done and at the cost he quotes. He makes sure the customer is fully satisfied with his work. The first job he did for me needed to be done before my son and his family arrived to visit and he got it all done in the time allowed - even with me changing what I wanted a couple times.

Gary is a top notch professional who focuses on his client's best interests and satisfaction. He is reliable and extremely honest, and his entire crew is professional and organized. He meets the deadline he quotes and keeps his client in the loop. We use him for our personal home projects and as a realtor I confidently refer my clients to him. Gary is the best!

Gary Rush Construction built a great shop for my husband . He also added a shower to our main guest bathroom. He did several jobs big and small. All of which were done top notch in a very professional manner. He answered any questions and concerns we might have and met time lines we were given. We found Gary Rush to be very knowledgeable and very personaable.He did the jobs as if he was doing for himself. He seems to take great pride in his work as he should.
