The San Luis Obispo county franchise of G.J. Gardner Homes is independently owned and operated by husband-wife team Russell and Holly Goldman. After working in several construction trades, Russell received a degree in engineering and then was drawn to the civil engineering field, where he managed projects for large corporations within the western United States. In 2004, Goldman moved to Paso Robles to raise his family. He was drawn to California’s Central Coast because of its natural beauty and the lifestyle that the area offers. Goldman has family in the area and ties to the Paso Robles wine region. In 2006, he accepted a position with his family’s large general contracting company in Salinas, Calif. There, he managed large multimillion dollar commercial construction projects as well as the employee safety program. Ultimately, Goldman made the decision to start his own construction business, based in Paso Robles in 2009. Goldman finds owning his own business a challenge but also the most rewarding experience he’s had. He is passionate about the construction business and values the relationships that he has formed with his clients.
