Goodwin Custom Homes is proud to be a true local builder. Being born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Owner, Chris Goodwin has a strong knowledge of the community and surrounding areas. He strives to help his clients find the part of town that suites them and their family. Chris resides in South Charlotte, with his wife of seven years and his three young children. He and his wife both grew up very close to where they now live. They love the sense of family and community that Charlotte provides. The idea of Goodwin Custom Homes has always been a dream and it has become an ever growing reality. Chris grew up going to the Daufuskie Island, South Carolina, where his grandfather built custom homes. Chris saw the passion behind building and learned from his grandfather, and also his father, how to build, create and design. He has built Goodwin Custom Homes from the ground up and thoroughly enjoys building and working closely with clients and investors. As a licensed General Contractor, Chris can effectively combine the spectacular finishes customers want with the strength, skills and structure his customers need. Chris pays more attention to the foundation and supporting systems than a typical builder, being that he studied Civil Engineering at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. As an avid Real Estate Broker, Chris knows what type of finishes and locations people expect in today’s market. We truly believe it is possible to allow the customer to tell us their floor plan, not the other way around but we love to be a guiding hand in the process.
