Working with Hodge Design & Remodeling was many times better than expected. Having witnessed family members suffer the process of having houses built, I was familiar with high stress, spotty quality and subcontractor control, extremely limited choices, and mediocre results. Happily, Hodge DR offers the opposite experience! They truly worked WITH us to turn our needs and basic ideas into a functional and beautiful home addition where all the details have been taken care of and everything works! They tackled a difficult design feature and succeeded. They made sure every spot on all the walls had perfect paint coverage no matter what. Every little piece from a baseboard corner to a skylight fits perfectly. The smooth coordination of construction steps and people was amazing. Communication with us was fast and kept up to date. Their attention to detail and quality work is unsurpassed. They show up when they say they will and finish the job within time and cost estimates. They even brought fence panels and kept the dog safe from the construction area. As we have used the new space, a few small glitches in function have come up, as such things inevitably will, and these folks have returned to make sure every part is finished and working well. They are committed to the completion of excellent work and it is much appreciated. Larry can calmly redirect a wild client idea into something that his knowledge and experience knows will actually work. He took our list of wants and transformed them into a contemporary design better than we could have dreamed of. We were very happy with all aspects of the re-model from start to finish. They were very responsive to issues or changes and I felt very comfortable with the crew boss, Greg, and his assistant, Justin. I had expected to use a laundry mat for a month or more, but these guys exceeded all expectations when - without me asking - they unhooked and moved the washer to the garage and then put it back in the laundry room many times. A month later and I am still finding details where they went above and beyond. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to HD&R, as is making sure the job is done right. Would use again most definitely.

From initial contact, Larry Hodge was the most patient, honest and professional contractor I have had the experience of working with. I stress the part about “working with” and not “dealing with”. His professional approach and his willingness to listen to not only what we wanted but his ability to understand what we needed was amazing. Communication throughout the project was easy with his construction app and he was available by phone easily. He was not the cheapest but his pricing was fair, honest and most importantly NOT AN ESTIMATE. The price stayed the same for the scope of work we agreed on and payments were clearly assigned to each stage of the project. Larry’s entire crew was always on time to work and worked steadily. He will be used for our next project for sure!

My wife and I hired Hodge Design and Remodeling to help us design and remodel our kitchen and dining room. As work progressed, we extended the scope to include some work in our adjacent family room and the construction of a new laundry room. Most importantly, Larry and Sheila are honest and hard working with a personal commitment to do high-quality work and to make the customer happy. They are responsible and accountable. What they say is what they do. These qualities in a contractor, or any service professional, are all too rare these days and are very hard to find. We recently failed to find them in our fence contractor and our landscaping contractor, making us all the more thrilled to find them in our kitchen design and remodeling company. This is the third time that Hodge Design has done a project for us. I have always found Larry Hodge to be professional, detailed, extremely honest and committed to ensuring that the clients needs are met and that the client is completely satisfied. Larry has sub-contractors who have worked with him for years and he has clear expectations for each of them. Greg, who provides the day to day oversight to the project, is a joy to work with. He asks good questions, provides daily oversight and follow up. Sheila takes care of the paperwork and I found it to be accurate and shared with me in a timely manner. The quality of the work is outstanding. I had one concern about the painting of the cabinet doors and Larry and Greg stayed on top of it until all three of us were completely satisfied with the work. There were no unexpected costs associated with the project. I am completely satisfied with the project outcome and with the way the project was handled throughout the process. I highly recommend Hodge Design and will definitely use them again if I have another project to be done.

We hired Hodge Design & Remodeling for the partial remodeling of our kitchen . They were punctual , organized, knowledgeable and professional. Their experience allowed them to smoothly deal with any changes we wanted to make along the way , and they finished the project within the required time . The HDR team was knowledgeable and reliable. They rebuilt an exterior entrance and repaired damage done by a water heater leak. In both cases, they explained the work and offered options. The various workers were pleasant, skilled, and respectful of our home. The supervision was excellent and the work was completed in a timely manner and was of excellent quality.

We hired Larry back in 1991 for a project, and we were very pleased with the results. 2017 job just emphasizes the excellent work that he, Greg and team do, with great attention to detail. We highly recommend Hodge Design & Remodeling.

Larry Hodge and his design and remodeling team are professional, knowledgeable, personable, and respectful. We wanted a larger work space, a more logical lay-out, a better grade of construction and design that what we currently had, and a creative/artistic touch. In January 2013 the upstairs of our house burned. Our insurance company gave us the go ahead to contract the builder of our choice to rebuild our home. We chose Hodge Design and Remodel. Larry Hodge and his associates did a fantastic job reconstructing our home. Any problems were quickly addressed to our satisfaction. We have contracted with Larry again to build a screen porch on our deck at the back of our house.

Hodge Design and Remodeling were a pleasure to work with when we gutted our 1970's kitchen. From start to finish, Larry and his team were professional in handling the project, and the final results were better than we imagined! It was a pleasure to come home from work and made dinner in such a pleasant environment. They started work soon after Thanksgiving and completed the project before family arrived for Christmas - one day ahead of schedule! They worked with me to creatively consider how to make the kitchen as effective as possible within our space limitations.
