Can't say enough about Lee and his crew at Ideal Tile! First, there are many, many beautiful samples to chose from. Second, the advise and expertise given us while making selections for our bathroom renovation project was incredible. It was so helpful to have someone pull together looks, colors, grout, etc. Third, everyone there was such a pleasure to work with! We highly recommend Ideal Tile!

Ideal Tile was an excellent resource for our whole house renovation - Lee has years of experience and a seasoned aesthetic that really helped us achieve a polished look in our house without breaking the bank. We did not use an interior designer during my renovation, but Lee made our 3.5 bath/mud/laundry room makeover stress-free!

We had been to many places trying to select countertops and backsplash for our kitchen renovation. A friend recommended Ideal Tile in Stamford, CT. Immediately we felt welcomed from friendly, knowledgable, and very patient staff, Gail and Lee. Communication and follow through was very good . We also found a beautiful remnant stone at Ideal Stone for our new fireplace surround. Franco and his team did a wonderful job installing both our countertops and fireplace hearth. In every way, Lee and Gail are the best in the business. They come up with the best solutions to every question. Their approach to finding tiles within a budget makes shopping at Ideal easy and with no pressure. We have done 4 bathrooms, two kitchens, and a steam room with Ideal Tile. Highly recommend with no reservations!

Initially, I liked this store - it is well organized and I like to patronize family owned businesses. I ordered tile and floor ceramics for 2 bathrooms and was happy with the product. However, when it was time to redo the living room fireplace, things went south quickly. The owner located product that I was looking for and indicated that the stone was as clean as stone could get (without visible defects or mineral deposits) and sent photos. Based on the photos and discussion of its condition as nearly flawless, I placed a deposit for the stone. When the stone arrived, however, it was full of lines and gashes --even their fabricator (a partner) could not find anywhere to cut the stone so that it would be acceptable. He suggested I look for a second piece of stone. I chose a new pattern, but he indicated that they could no longer get that stone. So I started over and found a perfectly clean version of the original stone at a nearby location (Ideal Tile claimed that it was not possible to find the stone closer than their provider in NJ). Because I went with a new provider they decided after the fact to charge me an arbitrary (never agreed upon dollar amount of $400) for the measurement visit. Buyer beware.

Working with Lee at Ideal Tile of Stamford is always great. He has a great eye for color and design as well as knowledge. We do many projects with Ideal during the year, and I have to say that the entire staff (Gail, Ann, Lee and Victor) are wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them.
