After interviewing three builders, we choose Jay Anderson of Edgewater Construction for a major renovation of a newly purchased Bird Key Home. My wife and I are tough clients given that this was our 8th major personal construction project and we insist on value without compromising quality. Jay is very knowledgeable about all aspects of building and in particular has incredible attention to detail with the finish work. Jay worked closely with the engineer and sub contractors to remove the entire back of the home and replace it with an updated design that took advantage of the water views. The majority of the home was a full gut renovation, as he painstakingly worked to achieve the architect’s vision. The "fit and finish" from the level 5 plaster, to the custom made mouldings and the superb paint job, sets this contractor apart from the competitors.

Hands down one of the best General Contractors in Sarasota. We have had the privilege of working with this knowledgeable and detail oriented company for many years. President of the company Jay Anderson takes a very hands on approach to every job, and always provides an excellent final product to his customers. I would highly recommend Jay and Edgewater Contractors for any Custom Home or Remodel/Addition work.

Professional / Proficient / Perfectionist / Prompt / Pleasant... all words which could be used to describe Jay Anderson. We could not be more pleased with the results of our Condo renovation, and everybody else who has seen it , frankly is in awe of the workmanship and new design of the Condo. If we ever do another remodel or build a new home, Jay Anderson's EDGEWATER CONTRACTORS and his "team " would do the project as we would not even consider using anyone else

I hired Edgecomb Builders to make my mobile home handicap accessible so I can spend my winters here out of the cold. They had to gut the whole place out and work it from scratch. My home has an open floor plan with a full kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. I would recommend Edgecomb Builders for all your construction needs.

Jay and his crew remodeled our master bath. He was pleasant, easy to work with and professional throughout the project. The workmanship was excellent and done to our specifications. Jay dealt with everything that came along with professionalism and good humor, including my cat climbing under the floorboards while the plumbing was being done. The project was done on time and the results were exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend Edgewater Contractors.

Jay Anderson, President &CEO of Edgewater Contractors, renovated our condo's living area and kitchen in 2013/14. It was a pleasure having Jay oversee the entire project and all of its details, as almost all of the work was conducted while we were living at our primary residence in another state. Throughout the project, Jay was reliable, professional and fair. It was great knowing that we had an experienced contractor, who was a conscientious problem solver with a "can do" attitude, and who communicated with us regularly. In the end, we have a beautiful kitchen and living area, which have surpassed our expectations, thanks to Jay and his team. Great job -- highly recommend

Jay Anderson was great to work with as were all the professionals he used on the job that I came in contact with. It can be difficult to manage a project from 1200 miles away but Jay was someone we could trust to do a quality job. We are very happy with the finished product.

We used Edgewater Contractors to transform our 1970's family condominium into a gorgeous oceanfront "slice of heaven" while preserving history and artistically modernizing it. We took the condo down to the bare concrete and studs. The only original room was the "Pecky Cypress" paneled TV room. It was my mother-in-law's favorite area, so we incorporated the wood throughout the main living areas. With the creativeness of Jay Anderson and his contractors, we were able to "side step" using an interior decorator and bounced our ideas off them. He goes above and beyond the duties of a normal contractor to assist you in finding ways to make your dream house become a reality with countless hours of searching for the right light fixtures, tile, wood flooring and/or door knobs. We highly recommend Jay Anderson and Edgewater Contrators. We will definitely use them in the future.

Edgewater Contractors did a demolition and rebuild of a waterfront home on my existing lot. The house was an extraordinary design that required some special talents during the construction process. Edgewater connected me with some very special subcontractors who took the project to an exceptional level. They were a joy to work with. And although the project was not without some issues, they were all resolved to my satisfaction. Edgewater has built an extraordinary property that I am pleased to call my home.
