It is with great pleasure and our deep felt appreciation for the timeless effort of Architect Jay Crawford and his professional involvement, to assist us in our building plans for a single resident at 32 Cresta del Sol, in San Clemente, CA. His truly outstanding expertise and knowledge as an Architect, combined with his genuine personal interest in the welfare of his clients, is something so rare and special. When we started this project, we had no idea what to expect. We were very fortunate to have found Mr. Crawford through a personal recommendation of a building professional; and we admire his ability to overcome the many challenges, presented to us, some of which the relentless demands by the City of San Clemente and their "outsourced" plan checkers! Mr. Crawford has given us all of his time and expertise to overcome these obstacles, with his large network of specialists. I am happy to write this review for Jay. He is a very good architect. The only issue we had was that we should have asked a contractor to help out at the same time so that we would not have wasted money on a design that we could not afford. Eventually it worked out with a good contractor but we had already spent a bit on a design prior to the one we used. Also we regret using an interior designer as the contractor made us do all the work over so again we spent money needlessly. But Jay did listen to our suggestions and followed closely what we wanted. He was very easy to work with and was very nice. He answered questions anytime we needed him and he worked well with the city. He was also very fair and reasonable in terms of cost, which helped us to offset some of the loss from wrong design and interior designer. I had interviewed another architect prior who had quoted double the rate. I would recommend Jay Crawford to anyone looking to renovate or build from scratch like us.

Jay Crawford is very professional, down to earth, and is very easy to work with, in our case, the building of a new house. Jay took our concept of a farmhouse and made it into a masterpiece that incorporated all elements that we wanted into the design and more. Deadlines were met on time, budget considerations incorporated into the design, and excellent quality of work. Everyone who has seen the house, is very impressed with the home's design. I would strongly recommend that you use Jay as your architect. I truly believe no one could have done a better job in designing our new home.

Jay Crawford has proven to us again and again how excuiset he is with his architectural designs and vision. He is very creative and took our wish list of the new home design project and literally turned those ideas to our DREAM HOME! We can't wait to see the house built Construction has not begun yet
