J. Matin builders did an exceptional job from start to finish, building our new home. From the beginning, they were extremely accommodating working with us to create a home that met our goals while setting realistic expectations along the way. This was even more tricky as we were not living close to the building site during the build, however regular calls and emails made us very comfortable during the build. From the beginning, they put together drawings, budget, line item by line item, paying attention to detail and leaving no stones unturned. Their work was extremely high quality and they used reliable subcontractors. As with any build, there were a few unexpected things popped up, however they were quick to communicate and devise a plan to address the change/challenge. Overall, we were very satisfied and would recommend them to do a build to all!

We used J.Martin to complete a major remodel of our interior living space, as well as provide outdoor roofing/decking improvements. From the initial meeting, we felt that J.Martin understood the vision of our project and delivered us that vision with the finished product. J.Martin made recommendations to help maximize our space and offered suggestions on eliminating/revising components of the project that weren’t providing us the “best bang for our buck”. Once work commenced, our project leads were knowledgeable, competent, professional, and fun to work with. Upon project completion, our house is completely transformed and an amazing space that fits our lifestyle and needs. I started working with Jason and J Martin in December 2014, and are nearing completion of my new home in November 2015. A few notable things: 1. I did a fair amount of research before choosing a builder, and there are substantial differences in honesty, quality, budgeting, and attentiveness across builders, at any price level. J Martin will finish my project still at the top of their game in each category. 2. There are a lot of things you learn and may want to change throughout the process of building a home (that may differ from the original plan). J Martin worked through these things with me and adjusted expectations as we went along. I also feel like I can walk away from the finished home project with a high level of comfort in what I got, what I paid, and what I know about my home. 3. With J Martin, I built a fully custom home of a very high level of quality and personal detail. I know for a fact I could not have realized these dreams with another builder. Jason and J Martin made sure this happened. I would not question their desire to build the right product (based on my wants and needs) and leave the project on a positive note. 4. Jason and J Martin took ownership and responsibility to another level. While this is the first home I've built, I've owned homes and condos before, and dealt with countless contractors. They took ownership for my satisfaction in the home like no one else would have. 5. The subcontractors hired by J Martin showed a high level of workmanship/quality of work and work ethic. J Martin balanced quality with budget at each step, but never sacrificed quality. J Martin maintained a close eye on the subcontractor work and made certain no corners were cut. 6. Jason and J Martin bring to the table a unique blend of design and planning expertise, along with a wealth of building knowledge. I expected to get one or the other, but this firm has both, and pays attention to each as the project moves along. In the end, I saved money on design and planning by working with J Martin, AND got a product that was much more highly customized, personal, and unique. I look forward to either working with J Martin again or maintaining them as a resource as I move ahead. I would trust them and their recommendations above any other contractors I've worked with before.

Jason was prompt (returning calls, completing portions of the job as scheduled, etc.) and very courteous. We needed a foundation for a small house as well as all utilities to it (septic, etc.). Despite the smallness of the job, he paid us all the respect and attention I am sure he gives his million-dollar home clients. His subcontractors were likewise courteous, prompt and masters of their trades. We have recommended J Martin inc to friends and would hire this contractor again. Jana Goodman
