The Herriges team of professionals are Outstanding! They completed our extensive remodel in early 2020, and to date, everything is standing the test of time. We could have written this review when everything was new and pristine, but we decided to give it time to see how their work would withstand daily wear and tear. Well we are pleased to say their work has in fact withstood the test of time beautifully! Our dog and cat rough-house quite a bit, and we are none too gentle either. They took an old farm house, late 1800’s/early 1900’s, and transformed it into a beautiful, safe and sound structure. While everything is updated, Julie’s vision was to keep the warmth and feel of a country farmhouse. Joe and Julie put their hearts and souls into this project. Lisa was incredible in making sure all permits, and paperwork was in perfect order. Mike created a precise timeline that was adhered to so we knew who would be in our home on which days. The Herriges work crews were professional, personable, and did excellent work. Brandon was the lead and couldn’t have been any more professional…he answered questions and explained how new items worked. The contractors they partner with did outstanding work as well. Going in, we were told if there was a concern with a contractor, they would always back us up. True to their word, if there was a concern, Herriges was always on our side, making sure things were done the way it had been discussed. From start to finish, Urban Herriges & Sons, Inc. surpassed our expectations not only in the quality of their work but in their designs and communication as well. They tore down our old porch and built a new one, added a stoop, a covered porch, and an open deck, improving not only our indoor living space, but expanding our outdoor enjoyment as well. We have received so many compliments from friends and family (one sister cried because it was so beautiful!). Not only is it beautiful, but people remark on the coziness and comfort they feel. We cannot give enough accolades to everyone at Urban Herriges & Sons, Inc.

Wow! wow! We called and they came! After calling and talking with several local companies and being disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm or an outright response of, "No" we called Urban. We are from the area and over the years had seen Urban grow. Urban seemed to be in many places but for some reason we thought Urban was, "out of our league" and we would not be able to afford them. We were wrong and if I could have a redo I would call Urban and no one else. Julie and Lisa listened to what we needed and wanted and came back with a solid plan. The Urban team consulted with several people who specialized in all the area's touched when you crack open an older structure. Urban was on time, on budget, on point and the communication was amazing during the process. Urban was honest about costs and expectations. We are confident that were treated fairly and honestly. One of the Urban staff said to me, "Hey, make sure you are happy with this- you are paying a lot for this." The end product is essentially two new living spaces for us and the supporting structure to make the space safe. The home is an older cottage that has been cobbled together since the 40s....so you know... if you live around some of lakes in our area what we were dealing with. If you want honesty, outstanding workmanship and a great experience call Urban Herriges. Any construction takes time, money and patience and Urban made that investment way less painful.

Urban Herriges and Sons, Inc. is an experienced team of construction experts. During our entire kitchen remodeling project the team demonstrated a very professional work ethic and provided superior customer service. We appreciated their attention to detail, their creativity, their team work, and their superior expertise and workmanship. Mike, the project manager, encouraged us to call, leave a voice mail, email, or text him at any time (even after hours). All concerns or questions were promptly addressed and resolved. We could not have picked a better partner! They guided us through the entire process and happily answered any and all questions. We knew everyday what to expect the next day and were never left wondering if and when someone was going to show up. There was someone from the family on site everyday to ensure the work was getting done to their satisfaction. Our project turned out beautiful and exceeded our expectations!

After interviewing four qualified remodelers, we chose Urban Herriges to do our kitchen remodel. From design concept and process to the completion of the project, UE displayed a high level of professionalism and knowledge. Our kitchen was started and completed almost precisely to schedule and right on budget. They said what they were going to do and they did what they said. This is the 3rd remodeling job for which we have hired Urban Herriges And Son’s.They were recommended to us from a previous customer. They are extremely professional. We know the cost, the timelines, and who will be coming to the house and what jobs will be performed. Julie was very helpful working with us in selecting cabinets, flooring, tile, paint, bathroom and kitchen sinks and faucets. We are thrilled with the results.

We hired Urban Herriges to do a rather large remodel of our lake home. We are VERY particular and can't recommend the Urban Herriges team more highly. Our project included turning an unfinished walk-up attic into a master bedroom and master bath and re-doing an outdated, 1950's first floor plan that included the entry, kitchen and bath. As a result, we now have an amazing master suite and an open-concept main floor that maximizes our lake views. Chip and Joanna Gaines and the Property Brothers would be proud! The entire team (Joe, Julie, Dean, Bob, Lisa and all of the craftsmen) were fabulous. Joe and Julie worked with us during the design phase, and really helped us make the best use of our space (we down-sized from a larger home making this critical). In the end we were able to get all of the kitchen and bath storage we needed and were able to find room for a 1st floor laundry which was another "must" on our list. After the design and during the actual remodel, the entire team made the process easy. The selection of all the design elements was actually a fun, creative and stress-free process. At times they even steered us to some less expensive options, all of which we ended up loving. Absolutely everyone who worked at the house was honest, kind, hard-working and did high quality work. They all became an extension of our family during the project. The absolute best thing about the Urban Herriges team is their communication/customer service. They were always completely honest with us, kept us updated and responded promptly (literally within 5 minutes or less) to any questions or concerns. It sounds cliché but we felt like we were treated like family (one that actually gets along…no dysfunction). We did run into some challenges with our rather large project (none of which could have been anticipated) and the response by the Urban Herriges team was amazing. They constantly told us to let them know if we weren’t 100% happy with anything. When we did did have questions or concerns, they would say “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it and make sure everything is right.”. Amazingly, everything was always taken care of, no matter how big or small. If you’re thinking of doing a remodel, don’t walk, RUN to Urban Herriges. You won’t be disappointed!

We hired Urban Herriges after speaking with several other home remodel contractors and were drawn to them as a local, and family owned company with a strong local reputation. We found the design process to be smooth an uncomplicated, with our designer listening to our needs and wants, and then enhancing our vision with creative solutions and details we had not considered. We were very pleased when we went to make project selections, that our project quotes included far more design options available to us than we would have anticipated! It was great not to have to worry about any surprise upcharges when making those selections as our designer gave us fair and reasonable price points from the start based on our conversations on what we wanted, and the quality product they aim to provide. At least one member of the team was onsite daily to direct the work and subcontractors and as soon as we would have a question, or a situation with the house presented itself, a correction or solution was in the works. I could phone or text our designer, the project manager (or practically any member of the family!) and get a quick and dutiful response. As a result, our punch list of to-do items was virtually non-existent at the end of the project! Urban Herriges & Sons helped us take a poorly laid out house that had an excess of wasted space, functional shortcomings and lacked design, and created a home that is practical, stylish, and one we cannot wait to show off to our family and friends!

We highly recommend Urban Herriges & Sons, Inc for your remodeling project. We removed the two walls that enclosed our kitchen and created an open concept in our home. New cabinets, new flooring, tile back splash, quartz countertops, under cabinet lighting, recessed lighting, new trim and woodwork throughout, a custom island, and conversion of our wood burning fireplace to gas. We also had them remodel our bathroom and powder room. Again, new everything. Urban Herriges & Sons, Inc., are true professionals and only work with the best craftsmen. Their eye for detail was incredible. If it wasn't right, they made it right. Communication was was easy and daily. We always felt like we were talking to a family not a corporation.

Working with the Urban Herriges group was a great experience again. I worked with them aver 15 years ago when we put an addition on our home. Because that project turned out nice I turned to them again for our Kitchen remodel. I did get 2 other proposals but decided to stick with them. I especially like the fact that everyone gets involved in the project. Julie and I designed it, which took months because I made many changes. She helped me choose the fabulous cabinets, counter top, flooring and lighting. The virtual plan was a life saver for me because I could visualize how the kitchen would look in the end. Joe, Bob, Lisa and Dean were there when ever I had questions, concerns or needed changes. The carpenters, plumbers, painters and electricians were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend and have recommended Urban Herriges & Son to anyone who is contemplating a home project. My house is 1000% percent better in 2015 than it was in 1989 when we purchased it thanks to them.
