Established in Byron Bay in March 1990 JOHN BURGESS ARCHITECTS has been involved in a variety of project types from single dwelling and multi-unit residential and commercial work through to urban planning. In Byron Bay we have been responsible for iconic developments including; the Award winning Rae's on Wategos, the historic Orient Hotel (now the Balcony building) and numerous commercial projects and beach houses. From October 1995 through to November 2008 a Sydney branch was established in Potts Point. The practice is now based back in Byron Bay with projects predominantly being high end residential works. Interior and lighting design are specialities of JOHN BURGESS ARCHITECTS. We have been responsible for the complete fit out of numerous commercial and residential projects including all aspects of interiors including: furniture, fabrics and fittings.
